The sandwich I got here was amazing! I got a half sandwich and soup combo and fell in love with the shop! Loved the lemon drop cookie I got as well. Unfortunately, the hours just aren't very accessible. If you work a regular 8 to 5 job, it's hard to even get a chance to stop in and grab something. Especially if you can't leave your place of work for lunch. Cant come in before work because they dont open till 9am cant come in after work because they close at 3 pm. I'd love to come on the weekend, but they aren't even open then, not even a Saturday. I just find it really disappointing that they're only open 6 hours out of the day and not even open on a Saturday for the people who finally have a moment away from work. I understand if its a small mom and pop shop or if they're understaffed, but how are people expected to buy if they can't ever get there because you're closed. It just feels like you're excluding a large population that could come in.
They also take forever to prepare orders. They prioritize Doordash orders and in-person customers have to stand around for 30 minutes. I have an hour lunch and they used up over half of that. I only ordered a half sandwich/soup. I understand some places being understaffed, but there were people cleaning trays instead of helping get orders out.
The prices are also a little on the high side. Almost 4 dollars for one cookie, 12 dollars for a sandwich, and so on. Maybe I'm just cheap, but I just can't come here more than once every other week.
Other than that the staff were nice and it looked like a nice place to sit if...
Read moreExcellent sandwiches, very tasty and unique. Price is decent too (any more and I'd expect a larger sandwich).
Edit: I've been coming here for 2 years now and 9 out of 10 times it's 5 star food, service and experience - but my most recent visit has changed my opinion just based on the service, questionable food prep concerns, and lack of response to our request "Can you not put mayo on that, please?" The answer was, "No, we don't do substitutions." What??? We DON'T want mayo, we aren't asking for anything else, no substitute. Now, these were newer employees so that could have been the problem.
So they refused to not put mayo on the sandwich and gave some diversionary response to why they cannot (something about the bread soaking up the dressing and mayo prevents that) which leads me to believe that these sandwiches are not made fresh, and for $10 a sandwich (albeit a tasty one with a tiny bag of chips) I don't want to pay that for something that's been sitting in a fridge for who knows how long.
But, judging from the quality of sandwiched they produce here, they are fresh and high quality. So if they are made fresh, then why, for the love of god, can't you just leave the mayo off?!? Or at least give me a straight answer as to why not. It's such a small thing and that is why it's so frustrating. Jitters was a 4.5 to 5 now...
Read moreWow! Really good fun food. I walked, or rather hiked 3.6 miles from the Freightliner shop to try a Blue Moo sandwich at the suggestion of Melissa from Freightliner. She said it was a killer sandwich and she was right. It wasn't the size, it being smaller than say a footlong sub from you know where and more so a perfect size for an "average" eater, but the taste and quality. A lot of thought and care went into its design and serving. Really good and I'm not even big on beef consumption. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere fun with lots of eye candy to keep you entertained while waiting to be served. And I really liked the place holders with names like Evel Keneval, Flintstones and such instead of just being assigned to a "number". Nice thought. Looking forward to...
