What a great way to start our weekend. Wanting to eat out this morning for breakfast, we also wanted all the “feels” … quality food, no-stress atmosphere, friendly service and we didn’t want to drive a country mile to get there. We found exactly that at Hubbaloo. My hubby ordered the Classic American Breakfast substituting grits for the potatoes and added a side of sausage gravy. The grits are course milled but very creamy and flavorful and the gravy has chunks of sausage. His eggs were cooked perfectly, the biscuit was fluffy and not doughy and he said everything was delicious. I ordered the Classic French Toast and added an egg, softly scrambled. The French toast is made from their house prepared brioche. It is phenomenal. And, this is the first time, in I don’t know how long, that I actually received a perfectly cooked soft scrambled egg with the bonus of being nicely seasoned. The portions are ample - you by no means leave hungry. I would describe it as being on the sightly stuffed side of being satisfied. The quality of food and service is throughout. It seems minor but we liked that you order and pay before being seated and when your order is ready, they bring it to you. When you’re finished eating you don’t have to wait for someone to bring your ticket and take your payment or wait in line to pay - you can just leave at your leisure. We also liked that the music was at a soft volume - quietly filling the space - and that a TV was not on screaming for your attention. I feel we are bombarded with enough external stimulus in our lives … it’s nice to have a reprieve. We both thoroughly enjoyed our morning out and can easily recommend Hubbaloo to others.

It is so cute in here. For those if you who miss Honey and Salt this is a very worthy inheritor. Food was excellent and they seem to have some streamlining built into their new system which hopefully will prevent the congestion that plugged Honey and Salt towards the end. Great service amazing food and a great spot for brunch in the week.

I ate here while visiting family. This place is special. Like we went once and wife demanded that we go everyday, lol.

It is a crime that this place is closed on Sundays.

You pick your own table there are about 10 inside and 3 or 4 outside. You go and order from a counter and they bring the food to your table.

The food is locally sourced which is awesome. We had almost everything on the menu and it was all amazing! No matter how you want your eggs they come out amazing. They did fried over medium perfectly.

If I had to complain the pancakes are a bit thin and I prefer a fluffier pancake but the taste of these were still great.

They have a sister restaurant behind here, a barbecue. It supplies the brisket on some of the breakfast items. I didn't eat there but judging how good this place was and the brisket the barbecue has to be amazing too.

What are you doing go...

Well, I love this place! And I tell my friends about Hubbaloo then invite them to join me to try it out. That way I get more breakfasts or lunches there. I haven’t tried everything on the menu but have found a few favorites already: the rosemary English muffin with bacon and egg just keeps me smiling. I find the breakfast tacos tasty, especially the brisket one, wow! I drink a lot of tea at home and was happy to find they offered hot chai tea. Perfectly presented with preheated teapot and cup. They even found a local tea company to source it, Table Rock Tea Co. Marla and her crew are all super friendly and will make you feel welcome and appreciated. I’m so glad that Flat Rock has such a cool...
