Nestled in the heart of the city, Hoffman's Deco Deli is a hidden gem that transports you to a bygone era of culinary delight. From the moment you step inside, you're enveloped in the warm embrace of nostalgia and the tantalizing aroma of freshly made sandwiches. I recently had the pleasure of visiting this charming establishment, and let me tell you, it was an experience that surpassed all my expectations. The moment I entered Hoffman's Deco Deli, I was struck by the tasteful art deco decor. The combination of elegant fixtures and vintage posters created an atmosphere that felt both inviting and classy. It's as though the deli itself is a piece of living history, preserving the essence of a time when craftsmanship in cuisine was paramount. At Hoffman's, they've mastered the art of crafting old school sandwiches that are nothing short of perfection. I had the privilege of savoring their Classic Reuben, and it was a true revelation. The tender, thinly sliced pastrami, smothered in melted Swiss cheese and sauerkraut, was nestled between two slices of freshly baked rye bread. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, with the savory pastrami harmonizing beautifully with the tangy sauerkraut, and the cheese adding that creamy richness that takes a sandwich from good to extraordinary. But what's a great sandwich without a refreshing beverage? Hoffman's didn't disappoint in this department either. I ordered their signature Raspberry Lemonade, and it was a symphony of sweet and tart, just the way I like it. The freshness of the raspberries danced with the zesty lemon, making for a thirst-quenching delight that perfectly complemented my hearty sandwich. The service at Hoffman's Deco Deli was equally exceptional. The staff exuded a genuine passion for what they do and were more than happy to offer recommendations and provide insights into the deli's history and their culinary philosophy. It's evident that they take pride in preserving the traditions of the past and delivering an authentic, mouthwatering experience to their patrons. In an age when fast food and chain restaurants dominate the culinary landscape, Hoffman's Deco Deli stands as a testament to the enduring allure of timeless flavors and meticulous craftsmanship. If you're in search of a sandwich that will transport you back to the golden age of delis, look no further. Hoffman's is a must-visit destination that will delight your taste buds and evoke warm memories of an era long past.

I’ve been going to Hoffman’s since this location opened and I’m really bummed that the quality just isn’t there anymore. I used to LOVE Hoffman’s sandwiches, but the last few times I’ve been, the sandwiches keep getting smaller and smaller..yet, I can’t say the same thing about the price. I also noticed this time that the bread is different and the sourdough just looks and tastes like toasted white sandwich bread..well not toasted, because my food was soggy when I got it home and my order was incorrect. Overall just disappointed in the lack of quality. Please do better and make your sandwiches the way you used to. Edit: I called and told someone (didn’t get name) my issue and they put me in the books to order a new sandwich to replace this one, so thank you for that! I really appreciate it. Hopefully it turns out better.

I ordered the AC wrap. It was delicious and full. Some places skimp on meat and you end up with a wimpy wrap. Not this place! My wrap was bursting with flavor and chicken, lettuce, tomato and cucumber with a delicious ranch sauce. My daughter ordered the Baja wrap. Her's was full and fire- plenty of heat from the jalapenos and the whole thing was heated (literally). The atmosphere was casual and chill. The service staff was kind and helpful. Definitely worth visiting again & trying more of their sandwiches and wraps.

I went there for the first time today and received less than BAD service. A coworker ordered lunch for us and we were told to pickup in 30 minutes. I arrived at set time only to be told, " we don't have an order for Lou!" The cashier began to inquire to workers and the male that had taken the order began looking around for the ticket...to no avail, there was no ticket for the order that had NOW been placed over 40 minutes ago. REALLY??? Cashier then took the order and stated that it would not take another 30 mins however after another 30+ minutes, I returned to the counter to be informed that they were working on our order....by now I'm ONLY seriously irritated! I then asked to speak to the manager after all, I'm on my lunch! The manager was very apologetic and gave the reason of training new staff members and the owner hadn't showed up and yatta, yatta......he then refunded my money, gave me a coupon for next visit and stated, "don't worry about today, no charge"! Now the clincher was after waiting again, making all kinds of eye contact with the workers, all of which knew the situation by now, I went back to the counter and the cashier told me, " oh, I thought it was settled and didn't know you were still waiting on food.....we'll have it right away! I saw RED and told them to keep it! I was told the food was really good but now I guess I will never know......HORRIBLE CUSTOMER...

Update: Removed 2 stars due to last few trips having extremely poor service including— forgetting my order and refusing to let me just cancel/get a refund since my lunch break was over by the time they realized the mistake (over an hour after placing the order), accidentally putting huge apple chunks in my auto world sandwich (does not contain fruit of any kind) and generally making a lot of mistakes when it comes to food/beverages. Also please note that the online ordering is awful (delays ordering, inaccurate food descriptions, + not user friendly) definitely better off calling or placing your order in person. I've been coming here a long time but after these repeated disappointments and subsequent failures to make it right, I don't think I will be back anytime soon.

Original review: everything is incredible. Food, drinks, smoothies.. You really can't go wrong. My personal favorites are the auto world on a spinach wrap, the hurley med, chai latte and wild berry smoothie with peanut butter. 😋

TL:DR - food is great but...
