Heading into Florence, we were originally going to hit a chain restaurant when I saw 1720’s Burger Bar. We went in with high expectations. It was a Friday night around 8. We had to wait to be seated even though there were open tables. Not a big deal. We ordered our drinks first… a water and a root beer. Out of root beer. Ok, no biggie. Drinks came and we ordered an appetizer… Tater Bombs. Out of tater bombs. Ok, we’ll just skip the app. We places our food order… the Wendy burger, and a cheeseburger quesadilla. When told the quesadilla didn’t come with a side, I asked for a side salad with ranch. We waited quite some time for our food, and was initially given someone else’s order. The host finally brought out our food, and placed the quesadilla burger down in front of me and I asked about my salad. He pointed to the small container of lettuce/tomato that was on the tray with the quesadilla and told me that was the salad… I thought it was a small side of shredded lettuce that went with the quesadilla. Nope. It was the salad… for $4.29! They should be ashamed of themselves! The quesadilla burger was completely underwhelming. A broken up burger patty inside of a very large tortilla with a very scant amount of cheese. It wasn’t worth eating. As for the Wendy burger, it really wasn’t that bad aside from the canned, slimy mushrooms. The french fries that came with the burger, did seem to be hand cut, but they were cold and not cooked all the way. We were never offered drink refills. Ketchup was empty, we were never given silverware..eventually had to hunt someone down to ask for some. When we left 1720s Burger bar, we actually went over to Chili’s and got an appetizer because we were still hungry from the food we did not get to eat at 1720s.. Extremely disappointed in our meal

Fantastic service from Brandi! All the staff were very friendly and helpful! The owner/manager leads by example and isn’t afraid to roll his sleeves up to get the job done! We were visiting Florence for a day. My son had a soccer game and we wanted to get some awesome burgers nearby. This is an independent small business that seems to be very popular with local residents. We ordered two Daisy burgers with Pimento cheese and bacon , a house salad with grilled chicken, Frickles, and Fried Jalapeños. Every dish we had was amazing! Our only disappointment was that the Frickles and Fried Jalapeños had so much salt. Other than that, everything was perfect! Brandi was nice enough to make an adjustment to our bill for the heavily salted appetizers. We appreciate the kind gesture. Thank you! We will definitely be back to try out the other items on the menu on our next trip back to Florence! On another note, we did make our way to the Dessert shop, The General Dough , next door. Check out my review about that venue!

We decided to go to 1720, I’ve personally been here a few times but it was my fiancés first time. I normally get a basic 1720 burger and add bbq sauce with a side of sweet potato fries and it’s always amazing!!!! During this visit he tried my original order without the bbq sauce and I tried the bbq chicken quesadilla for the first time which were both really good, flavorful and well cooked! We also had the tater bombs as an appetizer, which are really good with ranch for the ranch lovers but they do also have their sauce which has a hint of spice to it but also really good! (Please note the tater bombs do have bacon in them) The service was really good, from being greeted at the door to seating and eating. Definitely 10/10 would recommend! They now also have an entry way into “The general dough” which is perfect for a sweet treat to go home with so we’re excited to try them another time!!!!!

I really loath to write a bad review, but GOOD GRIEF how bad does the service have to be before you have to say something?! The restaurant was not even that busy.

The waitress came quickly enough and took our drink order, then came back and took our food order. She wasn't unpleasant, but she wasn't pleasant either. I can appreciate that everyone is short staffed, but as the consumer, this is NOT my problem. I will also say this, if I am spending my hard earned money with you in this terrible economy I do expect to have good service.

After waiting a short while, a server who wasn't our server came and quickly dropped the appetizer on the table, when she dropped them off, I told her we needed eating utensils and some napkins. She didn't respond nor did she bring utensils back. We sat for at least 7-10 minutes with the appetizer in front of us getting cold and no way to eat it. I finally had to go find someone and ask AGAIN for utensils. He came and basically threw them at us and ran off. About this time our server FINALLY showed up and unfortunately, she was the one to get my ire. Aside from the fact that she should have made sure we had eating utensils, it was the pathetic attitudes of the other people involved who turned a bad situation into an intolerable one. I would have yelled at them, but they kept throwing things at us and running away! Yes, I went full "Karen" on our server, but seriously is it too much to ask to have utensils to eat with?

I can not review the food because we did NOT stay long enough to eat. At this point I was pretty much done with the HORRIBLE service.

We left Burger Bar and went to Chili's where we had a delightful server and great food. She got the $20 tip that our server would have received if she had shown the slightest bit of congeniality or attentiveness. In other words, the basics of what is required of people in the...

I'm indifferent,... however, I won't be back. I was immediately turned off when the blonde hostess/server was dressed like she just left the gym and told us to follow her. But... she literally threw our menus on the table like a frisbee and kept on walking. 😳 No joke, she just kept on walking and went in the kitchen doors. Assuming that was our table, we sat there. When she passed by, I asked if this was where we were supposed to sit ... and I got an eye roll with a reply of what's the problem? 😳 This young blonde does not belong in service or hospitality, or perhaps is deliberately trying to get herself fired. Thank goodness she was not our server. Our server was a lovely young lady with darker hair and was wayyyyyy more pleasant. A gentleman (shift manager?) came around checking on tables and was also very personable. He should go straighten out blondies attitude. So on to the food... the fried pickles were ridiculously salty so I ordered fries to replace them and I was graciously comped for the fries. The burgers were meaty and flavorful. However, there were only 4 gourmet burgers and all had bacon on them. Now weirdly, if you wanted to remove one item off of a gourmet burger, it was suggested that we "build our own" instead ... which would have resulted in a costlier burger than to just omit the one item. All in all, I wouldn't come back because for a gourmet burger, I would expect a more unique variety such...
