We love Longhorn and go quite often. I always order stuffed mushrooms and wild west shrimp appetizers. As always, they were great. I also always order the same steak, the bone in Outlaw ribeye, for its tender, jucy flavor. I ordered my steak medium so there's a little pink left. My steak came, and to my disappointment, it was well done and dried out. They were very busy and it took a long time to get our table their meals (we were a table of 8) so I decided not to send it back as I would no doubt have had to wait another 30 minutes for them to get out another steak. The group I was with who ordered steaks also said they were over-seasoned and spicy hot. This review will not deter me from going back, I just think they were really busy and didn't hit the mark this time.
Round two... Our second visit here. As we stopped in for my Mom's birthday while we were driving back to New York from Georgia. We already had six hours' drive time, and we were certainly hungry. We got to the restaurant a little before 2:00 pm. It was busy but not a typical Friday night mad house. There were at least 3 wait staff on duty that I could tell. First, it took our waitress nearly 20 minutes to take our drink order. At that time, I asked for appetizers. Stuffed mushrooms and the new parmesean crusted spinach dip. Both were excellent but took almost 20 more minutes to get our drinks, bread, and appetizers. I had to ask for our drinks again (I only ordered water) and tell her to hold back our steaks as we had not yet even gotten our salads that we ordered. Next, our soup (they gave us plastic take out silverware because they were out of clean silverware she said, at 3 in the afternoon) and salads came out and right behind it was our steaks. We were barely able to eat two fork fulls of salad, and had to push it aside for my dinner, mind you, by the time the salad came out over an hour and a half had passed. I said to the server, "I didn't even get to eat my salad and you already brought out our dinner" and all she said was I'm sorry as she continued to dish out plates. I was not asked for a refill of drink. She continued to avoid our table and when asked for take out trays, she gave containers with the wrong lids. I'm not sure who the manager of this place is, but they should probably take account of all the wastefullness of their employees. I also suggest more wait staff. For a Monday it was plenty busy enough for more help. Dinner was average. My sweet potato tasted burned and my medium Outlaw ribeye again more then the medium I requested. Never asked for dessert or anything else. It was my Mom's birthday and she wasn't even acknowledged (yes they were aware). I asked for the bill and didn't get it until after 4:00pm. Another waitress had to get us small containers to put our food in since the ones given were not correct (bottoms didn't match the tops) Never again to dine in this restaurant, next time I'll go next door to Texas Roadhouse. Your manager must have been asleep somewhere and your profit and loss must really show. Sad because our Longhorn in Victor, NY is five...
Read more12/28/2018 My husband and I decided to have our anniversary dinner here, I called 30 minutes after they opened, asked for a reservation for 2 at 4:30 was then told they could only put our name down but couldn't guarantee a seat, but if it had been the Friday before then there wouldn't have been a problem with saving a booth for us. Anyways we got there a little after 4 to an almost empty dining room and families/couples at the front waiting to be seated, we walked up to the hosts stand only to be told our name was never taken down when I called earlier that day. The host then asked if we would like a booth with two chairs with it or a regular booth to which we replied a booth. So we sat for about 20-30 minutes before the little remote vibrated. The host then took us to a booth with two chairs on the other side which is what we said we did not want, my husband spotted a small booth next to the table the host tried to sit us at, the host said that was fine and told the host up front through her ear piece that we had moved to another table. After sitting there for 30 mins without seeing or talking to any waiter/waitress, the manager that had walked by three times then decided to ask us if anyone had came to get our drink order, we replied no, so he took the order and our appetizer which he said would be on him since we waited so long without service, I ordered a strawberry margarita and never got it, my husband told a lady that came with our food (not our waitress) and she said I'll go check my husband said it may be watered down by now if they made it to which she replied in a very rude tone "then I'll have them make another one" she came back and wouldn't you know it, it sat there on the bar for so long because the manager failed to tell the supposedly waiter of ours that I had ordered it, they didnt have anymore strawberry stuff so I ended up getting a regular margarita. Ended up paying for the appetizer that the manager said was on him. We had talked to FOUR different waiters/waitresses the time we were there. I honestly dont see how we had such poor service when there wasn't hardly anyone there when we went. About an hour after we were there it started getting busy. Will not be coming back to this restaurant, honestly worst service ever and very rude.food was excellent, service was terrible. Almost decided not to even tip but beings I use to be a waitress I wasn't gonna...
Read moreLet me start by saying that we have visited this location on a few occasions and have not had any issues. However, this past Friday was not great. I ordered the Filet, which I have had before, and requested that it be cooked medium. When it arrived at the table and I cut into it, it was more medium-rare. I called the server over. She asked if I would like it cooked more and I told her I would prefer not to send this steak back and have it returned to me. She was quite accommodating and offered to bring me a new, freshly cooked filet. When that filet arrived and I cut into it, it was purple. The only way it could have been any more rare is if they took it straight from the fridge and slapped it on my plate. I showed the server who also was shocked by how barely cooked it was and she apologized profusely and asked if I would like another steak. I indicated that I would rather not have another one cooked and that I was fine after eating the appetizer and side. She apologized again and said she would take the steak off of the bill. When she returned with the bill, she did in fact remove the steak, apologized again and said that she did let the manager know. We finished up and paid the bill. We were there for probably another 15 minutes after the server said she had notified the manager and yet the manager never came by the table to acknowledge the issue or apologize. I find that shocking. As the manager, you should care about the quality of the food that your restaurant is producing. Not only was the steak undercooked once but it was undercooked a second time. I gave them another chance to provide a properly cooked steak. Had the 2nd steak been cooked to medium as requested, I would not be writing this review. But it was not only undercooked again but SEVERELY undercooked. And no apology from the manager. Only the server apologized and it was far from her fault. She gets 5 stars. The manager at this location apparently leaves it to the staff to address food quality...
