Waffle House — Restaurant in Florence

The food was excellent as always but the service at first was okay but it increasingly got worse and worse once we got our cups of drinks we didn’t get straws and we didn’t get straws when our food was delivered our waitress name was Anna and she was nice at first. My friend needed a to go box and she spoke a bit louder and while asking for it she stuttered and we ended up laughing about it but a minute later the two waitresses started talking about the fact she stuttered and laughed about it. Once we got our ticket to pay we went up to the counter to pay to leave and keirsten the other waitress said we were rude and not to laugh at Anna our waitress when we hadn’t then keirsten also says as we hand her our bill to pay that the money we gave her was fake to Anna and said that if we continued to be rude and disrespectful to Anna she wouldn’t let us in at all which I think is wrong due to the fact we didn’t make fun of or laugh...

Headed to Florida, Travelocity directions sent us to the middle of nowhere Florence, SC. We finally got to our hotel almost 3 am to find that - despite calling the hotel directly the morning prior to the reservation to confirm- they canceled the reservation without even notifying us. The hotel and all surrounding hotels were full. So 8 hours from home in MD and 9 hours from our destination in FL we found ourselves without a place to stay. What does this have to do with waffle house? Even though we were grumpy after dealing with no-room-at-the-stables-gate-2024 we stopped here because it was open and we were hangry and needed to figure out what to do. The food was delicious, was served quickly and the staff was super friendly. It was a much needed respite from hours on the road and too bad so sad hotel staff. 10/10 will stop here when I'm passing through. Give...

First of all, IHOP across the street would not serve us... the hostess was rude and the server wouldn't acknowledge us for 20 minutes... they clearly didn't want us there. So, we went to Waffle House, considering it was around 11pm. Both the cook and Madison greeted us woth a smile when we came in the door. "Maddie" got us seated quickly and got our drinks within a minute. We got our food shortly after ordering. (At this rate, IHOP would not have even bothered to acknowledge us.) Maddie was very friendly, polite, and smiled the whole time. All 3 of the team members kept busy, seemed grateful for customers, and happy to be there. This Waffle House was also clean.
