The pizza was excellent, although not what was pictured for mine. I ordered the Sicilian which is pictured on the website as being covered in tomatoes, but it came with about a half of a slice of tomato per slice of pizza. It was still really good, just not quite what I hoped for. They also forgot part of our order, which isn't a big deal except that it takes so long to get your food so we had to wait another 30 minutes for it. We had already waited 45 minutes for one pizza and watched a few tables (with a lot of orders) get their food before us.
They have a satisfaction guarantee, but there were so many people waiting for their food and a table to sit at that we didn't want to take the time to wait in line speak to a manager, plus we had already waited so long for only half of our order. My biggest complaint and the biggest reason for the 3-stars instead of 5 is that we tried to order from them for two days in a row, several times, just to find out that they had purposefully left the phone off the hook. This has been mentioned in several other reviews and the company has responded to apologize, but apparently it hasn't done anything to change the situation. And when we went in (6/27/2021), the line was long to place an order, so it's not as if it was convenient to place an order in person with it taking an hour and a half to get two items. On top of that, the employees act like they are extremely unhappy to be there and unhappy to be serving people. They acted as though the customers are bothering them by asking for food.
It's really a shame the customer service and management of this place was so terrible because the food was excellent. We're from Minnesota, so it's not as if a coupon for our next purchase would help anything. Hopefully an honest review will help people make a decision on whether the pizza is worth...
Read moreMy son and his girlfriend were telling me how good Abby's Pizza was , but not as good as our favorite place in Las Vegas . Anyway , they now live in Oregon . We had just came from the Heceta Lighthouse and was on our way to their home and decided to get pizza since everything is closed for dine in there . We got a half Chicken , Bacon , Ranch , and half Meat Lovers and also the Bread Sticks .
The pizza looked good and was thick and same with the bread sticks . I had one slice of each and 2 bread sticks and I was full . I actually liked the Chicken , Bacon , Ranch , better than the Meat Lovers and I usually love a Meat Lovers . The pizza tasted okay and I wasn't much for the bread sticks . The price was $32.21 and that was with my Military Discount ! I was happy that the cashier asked me if I was a Veteran since many businesses don't give a discount much anymore sadly . The staff was very nice and we talked a little while I was waiting for our order , we called it in a little before we got there .
The next morning my stomach was a little upset , but not sick . My son called me that day since I was staying in a hotel and said he and his girlfriend had an upset stomach when they woke up . I don't know if their roommates ate any of the leftovers that night since they weren't at home when I left and he didn't mention anything about them . I told him to get rid of the pizza . I thought at first maybe it was too much cheese for me , but since they got upset stomach too , it wasn't that .
We must have just got a bad one since they said they have gotten them several times before and never had a problem and their roommates bring it home too . The building looks like a nice to place to dine in when they open and again the staff was very nice . I just think they are way too expensive and I buy higher end pizzas...
Read moreWe are lifelong residents of Florence, OR, and have frequently purchased pizza and/or chicken for eat-in, take-out or delivery over the many years since they first opened here. Whatever we order, it is always delicious. Our favorites are the chicken and potatoes, chicken fajita pizza and Abby's Special pizza.
The workers are such a friendly group, and hustling to get the order made and perfect. Many of them have worked there for many years. It feels like family.
There are so many treasured memories of times spent here: Having my first beer with my dad, his favorite portuguese linguica pizza, children's birthday parties, fundraiser, Boys and Girls Club after-season sport parties, city league sport after game gatherings, and family get togethers.
An extra special memory is from 1997. Our home had had a garage fire, and the entire interior had severe smoke damage. We were in a rental home with just minimal items: plastic deck furniture for dining and living room, mattresses on the floor, no dressers, and very few toys or treasured items for our five children. The youngest two were 1 and 2. Christmas was pretty dismal when compared with typical years - a small artificial tree with inexpensive decorations. Money was tight since the insurance company's policy required us to purchase replacement items first, then submit forms, and wait a few weeks before receiving a check.
We visited Abby's one evening, and they had their annual toy give-away set up - a huge red wagon hanging from the ceiling, crammed full of toys. The three oldest boys all entered the drawing. One of the workers there was insistent on entering the youngest two boys.
Later we were surprised to find that one of the boys had won it, and our children were thrilled with the expansive array of games, toys, and stuffed animals. We will forever...
