This place sucks. First time there we show up at 11am and there's a older guy there working but looks to be just hanging out and we ask if they have any apple fritters and the guy starts laughing and says "if you aren't here by 4am you wont get any because they are sooo popular". Well as a business owner I think why wouldn't you make more if they are in such high demand so you could sell more?? Genius idea eh? So we try this place again the next time in town and this time we are told they have 2 left so if we want them we'd better hurry. So we order both and some coffee. The girl behind the counter gives us the fritters and we pay and I ask for the coffee and she says that its "self serve". So I go to get the coffee from a thermos on a table and it empty. So I tell her and she says "oh yeah I'm brewing some". So as I'm eating this bland fritter with NO APPLES in it I see that the coffee machine isn't brewing any coffee. Next in walks a lady and asks for a fritter and the lady behind the counter says oh sure let me get you a fresh tray. REALLY?? first you had 2 left and we had better hurry and now you have a fresh tray?? Within 5 mins?? So after that I look over to see the girl counting her tips and I ask if the coffee is done yet since we are now done eating. She says" oh yeah I forgot and grabbed the cup from under the coffee maker that not once had anything dripping from it and put it down for us to use. So this whole time she had coffee even when she said she didn't. Horrible service and the fritters were so bad that my dad(whom loves donuts) wouldn't even finish it because he was sooo disappointed. PS...APPLE fritters have APPLES in them!! This place will never get another penny form my family or friends. Florence needs a real donut place like Sesame Donuts or even Safeways...
Read moreWe didn't know where to go, we visit florence a lot, yet never been or even heard of this place. Based on the reviews we decided to go here. The couple running it are great, friendly and the food was good. The club was a huge sandwich with home made bread, although the bread didn't taste very "sour doughy". But possibly home made too! The breakfast burger my boyfriend got was great, fresh hot and grilled on the outside too. Although the gravy wasn't home made. But still great. The fries are just as good as everyone brags about and the doughnuts, oh man! So freaking amazing. It might even be worth the trip from Springfield to florence (60 miles?) to get them hot in the morning. They have perfected the cinnamon roll with chocolate icing and their maple bars are to die for!...
Read moreNO STARS should be a choice for an owner who blows off a woman in her late 40's who, with obvious urgency, requests the location of their restroom. 🙄 "let me finish with my customer" he says rudely while stuffing 4 of the same kind of donuts in a bag. Thought train taxed by 2nd inquiry of which direction the OUTDOOR restroom was I guess. moron. I drove two hours from Springfield to make deliveries to our coastal vendors - all of whom (along with their HOARDS of munchie-savy customers) will learn of the total rudeness they serve up w the donuts here. I was excited to bring donuts to my 1st stop in Florence, but just as happy to back right out of the pkglot w/o giving them a dime. I'm assuming it was the owner as no employee would ever be that rude to a...
