Chino's Cafe On the Go I went to Chino's for the first and last time Friday for lunch with a friend. Our meals were delicious BUT! I ordered cobbler with no ice cream for dessert. The server brought it with ice cream. She showed me where she wrote down the order with NO ice cream, but apparently someone in the kitchen added ice cream. She knew I was displeased, but she didn't offer to take it back. She did say, "I won't charge you for the ice cream." A few minutes later, after most of my cobbler was gone, the hostess came over with a bowl with no ice cream. I told her I didn't need it. She said, "Well, since you've eaten the one with ice cream, we will have to charge you for ice cream." I told her no way! I didn't eat the ice cream; it was melting in my bowl. And I didn't order ice cream, and I'm not paying for ice cream. The server then came back and said, "They will make me pay for the ice cream." I told her that wasn't fair, and I left extra tip. She placed the order correctly; the kitchen messed it up. Sure enough, the owner said the server would have to pay for the ice cream. So I asked to speak to the owner. After a few minutes, she came from the kitchen. I explained that I didn't order ice cream, and the server placed my order correctly. She said, "but we brought you some without ice cream. Thank you for your complaint." I explained it was well after the fact. I asked her how it made any sense to charge the server for a mistake made by the kitchen. She responded "I don't have to explain myself to you. I am busy and have things to do in the kitchen. Thank you for your complaint." And she walked off. I will not choose to patronize any establishment that treats guests AND staff the way this owner does. And it's a shame, because the food was...
Read moreFirst time my husband and I ate here. Everything was overcooked and cold the fried okra was encrusted in a hard , very greasy , cold thick breading couldn’t even eat them. I was afraid I would break a tooth I didn’t even taste okra The Mac and cheese was also cold , unseasoned and the elbow pasta was way overcook. to the point, the pasta was soggy and the cheese in the Mac and cheese tasted like old dish water. My husband agreed ! We tried to complain and the checkout lady just shrugged her shoulder and said “ oh well , so what everyone likes it that way “. She didn’t seem like she cared at all and went back to fixing her nails , the grilled cheese sandwich tasted old like fake cheese was used. It made me and my husband very sick afterwards The only thing that was ok and we could eat was the creamed corn. The bill came to $30 for two sandwiches and three side vegetables with drinks Definitely not worth that much money ! Could have eaten at Cracker Barrel and got better , hot food for that amount of money and they would have made things correct , if the food wasn’t good , I know or they would have been thoughtful enough to discount something that was not fit to eat ! Never will we eat there again and we’ll spread the word about this place to others It would have been better if the lady who we talked to would have been sympathetic or even cared about pleasing her...
Read moreAs a veteran with a service animal, I must write this. First, a service animal must sit under the table and not move. It can not ve in an animal crate or walk around. Second, a service animal can not be fed in the restaurant as, according to the health code, it is unsanitary. Third, an emotional support animal is not a service animal according to the ADA rules and is quite clear by a simple Google search. I spoke directly with the owner, and she is very welcoming of TRUE service animals. The three things I stated are not service animals and, as such, are not protected by law. Anyone with an animal with those problems should be ashamed for forcing others to accept your animal. It is a disgrace for a veteran to falsely make their animal a service animal. Also, you make it harder for your...
