90% of the time the Darby Drive Domino's is awesome. I usually Order On-Line and do a Take Out, but during my last couple of orders I haven't had a car, and so I've done Delivery. The first Delivery went pretty well - although before they finished making my order they called to get directions, which took a little while (I'm disabled and my speech/memory aren't great). But the driver got it to me quick (with a late night weekend Large - over $70 - order. The second delivery was also a weekend, Large - $90+ - order, but placed online at 9:28 pm. About 10:05 pm I got a call from the Delivery Driver who was having trouble finding my apartment, but by 10:15 he made it. The food was a little cool, but it was all there. I live in an apartment community that's right next to a local school, along with two other apartment complexes across the street and another one road down. I can see how it could be confusing to a driver who's not familiar with the area (it's right off one of the cities main roads), but when I worked at Dominos way back in the late 80's we at least had a big city map up on the wall of the store, covered in plexiglass, that we would use dry erase markers to plot out our deliveries ahead of time & take notes if we needed. I would think that in this age of Google Maps on cell phones, Garmins, Etc, Dominos could afford to outfit their drivers with satellite map/direction equipment that they could auto feed the location of the deliveries into, so the driver isn't stuck in the dark looking for street signs & house/Apt numbers - increasing their chance of having a wreck AND the time it takes to make deliveries. I gave this store a 4 because the food is always great - I'd give it a 5 if they'd do some simple and/or more modern methods to help the driver find their delivery locations - INSTEAD of wasting money on stupid custom cars with "warming ovens" built in. You wouldn't need the Custom Car if the driver had the ability to follow the satellite directions & get...
Read moreI ordered dominos on a Monday afternoon (around 1pm) for just a medium pepperoni pizza and everything was good until I was using the tracker and it was stuck in "quality check" for over an hour. I thought at first they were waiting on more orders to complete for them to send a driver out (which if that was the case, I was completely patient with) BUT..... when I called to check on the status of my order 2 HOURS past "quality check" [ 3.5 hours in total from order sent ] they told me that they have not even started my order yet. At that point, I told them to cancel the order and issue a refund. The lady on the phone was so annoyed with me and kept saying "are you seriously canceling this."
I love dominos but this completely turned me off to ever order from them again. Unnecessarily rude customer service. I work in the service industry and know how tough it can be but they were just rude for absolutely no reason. I was extremely patient and nice about the whole transaction since I feel like service industry should never be yelled at. Anyways, this long review just to say be weary when ordering from here. You might not ever receive the order you paid for, or if you have any issues just be prepared for completely...
Read moreNotice how every 5 star for this company usually written by someone who's only left 1 review, and 5 star reviews are the only ones the "owner" responds to.... any 5 star review does not appear to be genuine. I has a really rough experience for a Wednesday night. Guy sat in drive thru for 8 minutes waiting on order when ours was ready, so I parked and went inside. Apparently the lobby was closed, so I was met with a bit of shock by an unmasked staff. I asked if I could get my pizza that was ready or ask the truck waiting in drive through to circle around. They did reluctantly give me my pizza, though their sign did indeed say I should not have come in. I got a three topping pizza with extra cheese and got a two topping pizza without extra cheese. I get it they must be slammed on a wed night and covid abounds, but a but of a...
