Jalapeno Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Florence

My boyfriend and I decided to go here Saturday night (2/6) and I do not think we will be coming back. We walked in and noticed it was pretty busy but got seating right away in the back corner booth of the restaurant. We sat down and picked out our margarita flavor and size and waited for something. About 15 minutes pass and the girl who seated us had to take our order. We asked for a marg pitcher and waters. We still had not gotten chips and salsa and after 10 minutes of waiting on our drinks, I began to look around to try and look like we needed someone so someone could notice us. We had our menus closed and we were waiting for 10-15 minutes. A man came over and asked if we wanted chips and salsa and our order in. We ordered then had to mention that we had a marg pitcher that we ordered a bit ago. we ordered queso too just to put everything in cause we didn't wanna take a chance of no one waiting on us again. Our actual waitress finally brought us our margs. They were delicious! He brought us out our chips and salsa. Keep in mind this was about 30 mins into being there. We've had 3 people wait on us. We had 0 chips because we were so hungry from waiting. The dude brought us our queso but didn't refill the chips so we had a $3.99 or $2.99 queso with 0 subpar chips. Our waitress brought our food which was correct but my chicken tacos were so soggy and greasy that I only finished 1 out of 2. SAD. We told our actual waitress when she delivered our food that we would like more chips and grabbed our basket said "Okay" and we never saw that chip basket ever again. I paid $40+ for that meal and I can say that the best thing was the margs. The best server was the youngest girl who was either under 16 or barely over. I wish I would've given the $5 tip to the man who looked like a manager and the youngest girl/hostess. The place has really good reviews and maybe it was so busy that the service was 0/5 but jesus christ that was pretty bad. We might come back just to see if that was the case but horrible first experience. No one even said sorry about...

I frequent the area a few times a month to visit a friend since February. This was the first time we decided to try this restaurant because it had never looked open before. Always very few cars in parking lot and very dim and few lights on outside of building. We went in, and the waitress that sat us was very friendly and assisted us to a booth. Our waitress on the other hand, who had no other tables at the time we arrived took a very long time to come ask us for our drink order, so we quickly ordered an appetizer as well. When she brought us our appetizer she had her cell phone to her ear talking to someone, set down the appetizer and walked away on the phone. I had no chance to ask for silverware or napkins or a small plate for the appetizer we were sharing so I couldn't even try it for at least 5 minutes although it seemed much longer at the time. She never kept her mask on, I had to ask the other server for what we needed to eat our appetizer and she was very kind and friendly and got them for us. We did not see our waitress again for another 20 maybe even 30 minutes. We were never asked for our order, asked if we wanted another drink since they had been empty for quite some time, we thought she left for the night and just forgotten. My date wanted to just leave money on the table estimating what we thought the bill would be so we could leave and get food elsewhere. I got up to look around for our server, finally saw her and waved her over. We asked for the bill, she brought it and again disappeared. Thank goodness we had cash or it may have been another 30 minutes for her to come back for our payment. I would have given only 1 star, but I feel our service may have been different if we had the other server waiting on us.

Worst place ever. Worst customer service. I got the number 9 asked for RED sauce it came out with salsa brought it back and they just put red sauce over the salsa disgusting and the chili rellano had cottage cheese in it that's not normal.Waiter was no where to be seen so took it up to find him told him wanted something else he said he would come and take order 5 minutes later he came back asking about drinks I said I need to order and he just walked away from me 10 minutes later nothing we go ask for a manager they said manager is not there he said 5 minutes. Manager finally showed up we explained my food along with a cheese quesadilla not being cooked the tortilla was gooey and cheese not melted he shrugged it off and acted like that was normal and said I have other things to do umm excuse me I'm your customer and you don't care how your waiter knows nothing and I can't even get food because he walks away not that has got to be the worst customer service I have ever had by far. I said I will not be paying he said I'll do discount comes back and no items are on ticket just a $ amount I'm asking questions he is getting mad then I ask about the quesadilla and at that point he ripped the ticket out if my hand and walked away. We were in shock you should never rip something out of a customers hand. This is not normal behavior. I don't know how this place is in business but that manager, waiter and cook need to be fired and get a whole new group of employees that are actually trained and knows what's on the menu and treat your customers better. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. If I could give negative stars I would. If the owner sees this I would do some investigating on what is going on in your establishment because they are running it...
