Poseidon's Pizza — Restaurant in Florence

My wife and I had heard alot of good things about Poseidon's, so we gave it a try this evening. I would have to say we were not impressed. We got an order of Drip2Hard garlic knots. They were fairly good except that most of the cheese and topping was in the middle on the bottom of the box and not on the Knots. The flavor was good, just a bad end result with finished product. I had a medium deep dish G.O.A.T. It was ok at best. Not much flavor and my pepperoni was in stacks of like 7-8 pcs piled up and not spread out. It just didn't do it for me. The wife got a medium hand tossed The Injection with bacon , mushroom and extra cheese.When we open the box, the pizza looked like it had been sitting for a while even tho we were there at the 705 pick up time. The topping, besides the cheese, were non existent. Very little of either bacon or mushroom on the pizza. I would have to say we were not at all left with a good first impression, especially for the almost $50 we spent...

We ordered the Garlic Drips and a Hawaiian pizza today. when I picked it up their phones were ringing off the hook and I wasn't the only one waiting, this isn't the issue.

The hand tossed pizza has a very sense crust. it is not light and fluffy or chewy at all, it feels like it was overworked or rolled too hard. The sauce lacks flavor entirely. It's pretty clear their sauce is just a can of tomato "sauce" with sugar and red pepper flakes added. The only notes are sweet. They use a cheese that's very bland as well, almost similar to a cheap bowling alley pizza. Our Hawaiian also had a few slices with no toppings at all. There was so few toppings that we basically got a cheese pizza. The garlic drips as well we're entirely bland.

To top it all off, I paid an extra $0.50 each for extra garlic butter and marinara sauce. I didn't get them.

So overall, it's very bland, dense crust, no toppings, and they don't give you the extras...

We have tried this place twice because we have been looking for a new pizza place in the area. The first time we just got pizza. The toppings were barely there on the pizza but the pizza in all had good flavor. Second time I ordered a calzone because I prefer calzones over pizza and I have yet to find a good calzone down here in Florence/union area. It only had toppings in the two middle little slivers of the calzone. It had NOooo toppings at all in the two outside pieces. It was ALL dough. I was so disappointed and sooo hungry still after that since I only ate two tiny parts of the calzone. For the price you pay at this place, I’d expect more for your money. Not a Bunch of dough. The employees were nice when ordering but that’s about all they have going for them sadly... onto the next pizza place. Anyone let me know if you know a place with a good calzone that actually fills their...
