This was my go-to place for lunch while I'm at work. Keyword: WAS. A few months ago, I ordered from my app as I always do. I choose online ordering & curbside pick-up during my 30min lunch breaks because it gives me mow time to enjoy lunch. Also, my car isn't in the best shape. It doesn't idle well. It has died on me in a drive thru once and almost didn't start. My driver's side window doesn't roll down either so I choose not to go through drive thru lines anymore. Not this day. Every stall was closed, and I was forced to sit on a drive thru line to simply pick up an order ahead. I pulled up to the speaker and sat there for a good 5 minutes with no greeting or anything being said from the speaker. I could clearly see cars in front of me in line so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Being uderstaffed is a common issue in most establishments at this time, including where I'm employed, so I was doing my best to be patient. I ended up calling the Sonic location where I was sitting at the speaker. A young man answered and I asked if he was open. He said yes. I told him I was in the drive thru at the speaker and had been there for a few minutes before I called him. He responded "you're out there now?" Yes. Yes, sir, I'm here now and I've been here for almost 5 minutes. I don't remember exactly how our chat went, but he apologized and said the battery on their headset for drive thru had apparently died, and they were unaware. I explained I just needed to pick up my online order so he had me pull up. I ordered 1 can of the Summer edition Red Bull. He didn't bring any out. When I asked about them, he says "oh. It was your order that had the Red Bull? Well we are out of that kind, but I can give you a regular Red Bull." I told the young man that I don't care for the original flavor, but that would be fine considering I'd already been there for too long and didn't have time for a refund. He ended up bringing me two. And he apologized again, including a statement along the lines of "I'm so sorry, ma'am. You come here all the time." I just avoided going for about a month or so.
Fast forward a few weeks, I decided to try again. The stalls were still closed off so I still had to use the drive thru. No big deal. I ordered two of the LTO Mesquite BBQ Butter Bacon Burgers (I may have the name wrong.) I drove home, 18 minutes away, to enjoy my food. I was eating and about three quarters of the way through my burger, I bit down in something that shouldn't have been in my sandwich. I grabbed whatever it was from my mouth to see what I had bit down on. SOMEONE'S PROBABLY PINKY FINGERNAIL. I threw the rest of the sandwich, as well as the other sandwich, in the garage can. I skipped out on calling and complaining. I was so disgusted. I thought to myself "that's what I get for going back." I stayed far away from this particular Sonic for another month or so.
Yesterday, I was starving after I left work around 10am. I didn't want breakfast food so I decided I'd stop at Sonic for a burger. My go-to burger is the Jr Deluxe Cheeseburger. You can't order that from the app so I ordered a Wacky Pack Hamburger kid's meal. In my app, I customized the burger to make it a Jr Deluxe Cheeseburger. I also had a birthday reward for a small side, and I chose mozzarella sticks. I asked for marinara sauce and ketchup. I pulled up to the speaker, told the lady I was there to pick up an online order, and gave her my name. She said they were working on it, that it'd be a few minutes, and they'd have it out as soon as it was ready. I pulled around. As I'm waiting, a female worker headed out to her car and left. A young man was going inside in assuming to start his shift. I say this because his work shirt was in his hands and not on his person. I waited for a few minutes, and the young man walked out and said "you had the order ahead?" I said yes, thanked him, & grabbed my bag from him. I pulled into the Comfort Suites parking lot to eat. I had less than 3 bites left when I found a long black hair in my sandwich. I went back through the drive thru...
Read moreI usually dont leave bad reviews on many places but this was absolutely horrible. We went to sonic around 5:00/5:30 today (August 17th) and went to the drive thru. No other cars were before us. We had the coupon text to get a quarter double cheeseburger and tots for $2.99... we NEVER had anyone acknowledge us at the drive thru. My husband honked the horn. I said hello is anyone there ...nothing..We never got a "One moment , we will be right with you" or nothing. Soon cars behind us began to pull out of the line and we did too. We saw a red truck that near the pick up from the drive thru who was STILL sitting there when we first went to the drive thru. The car hop area had maybe 5 cars or so and I didnt see any employees bringing food out. I understand when places are short staffed or under staffed but the drive thru customers need to be taken care of too. If the speaker box was messed up a sign should have been placed. It sucks cause I really wanted sonic today and didnt get it due to no service. Yall lost business today due to that. I was also told by a friend that she waited over 45 mins to get her food and it was cold. I hate to be negative cause I really enjoy sonic and this location, but today my experience was...
Read morePulled up to the drive thru at about 8 pm on a Thursday maybe 2 other cars were at the drive up post no one was in front of me in the drive thru I waited for 4 or 5 minutes then the person came over the intercom without asking me what I wanted she just bluntly said it will be 15 to 20 minutes before we can take your order because we were so busy. Total customers there were maybe 3 cars . All I was trying to get was 2 shakes for wife and daughter who were sick with COVID. So I told her I just needed 2 shakes so I will wait. I finally got them both had whip cream witch I asked for no whip cream but it had already taken 20 minutes to get that so I just cut my losses and will find somewhere else for...
