My fiance, myself and my teenaged son chose to dine in at Buffalo wild wings in Florence Alabama on Thursday October 12th 2023 for dinner around 5-ish. The food was okay but everything on the menu was at least slightly, if not very, overpriced. The total bill came to more than $106 before tip. There was a lot left to be desired as far as our waiting service was concerned. Our waitress, Jamie, gave absolutely no insight or help into the menu when asking about nutritional content or asking about any items that may be more suitable for my dietary restrictions. She typically seemed preoccupied and unconcerned to really stay long enough for us to get what we needed from her so we had to flag her down several times for any one item that we needed. She came off as standoffish and disconnected. She was not completely rude but she REALLY walked that fine line. She definitely felt like she did not care and like she couldn't wait to get away from our table. The Wisconsin fried cheese bites appetizer with Chipotle dipping sauce were delicious and was a larger portion than what I expected which made me more pleased with the cost of the menu item. My green chili bacon smashburger (with bun on side) was awesome. My side salad which I was upcharged a dollar for was minimalistic with only chopped iceberg lettuce, a few slices of tomatoes and bit of cheese- but at least there was cheese... My son seemed happy with his All-American Cheeseburger and his three chicken finger meal. Both were supposed to come with fries, but the chicken finger meal, which cost like $10.99, was very stingy on fries like the meal was snack-sized. Now while it is not Buffalo wild wings' fault that my fiance ordered the spiciest wing sauce they had on the menu, I feel that they should give a sample of the sauce before allowing a customer to commit to the order because they were so spicy that nobody at the table could enjoy them, including my fiance who loves to eat spicy food. My fiance did not like the bourbon BBQ hot wings (current promoted menu item) either. Someone else might like them but for us they were definitely heavily bourbon flavored to the point that it drowned out any other flavor. The ultimate appetizer tray was great with the exception of the boneless hot wings which again were so spicy that nobody could enjoy them. The tray also had mozzarella sticks of which both my fiance and son loved, ultimate loaded nachos which looked and smelled amazing and my fiance said they were good. So while we were disappointed by a few of the items that we had, the majority of the other foods were good if not great, but still paid more than I expected. But the main disappointment of our dining experience was our waitress who came off as very uncaring and like she did not want to be...
Read moreMe and my buddies in my national guard unit showed up last Saturday to watch the ufc paper view and all hang out drink some beer and eat some good food…well we didn’t have a good time at all and if there was anywhere else that showed the fights we would’ve got up and left. It all started when i first showed up around 630 and ordered a philly cheese steak and when it came out it had ZERO cheese, now to be fair the bartender was really nice about it and got me the cheese when i asked but after that the rest of my group trickled in around 7-9 and we had a party of 12 sit down and planned to be there all night and give business but one thing that was really frustrating is every time we asked for a refill for beer or regular drinks it would take 20-30 mins to bring it out, then around 930 our waitress came out very politely and told us her manager was cutting us off from drinks and we were very confused because we hadn’t been causing any problems or being too loud and when i asked her if we were causing problems and she said no but her manager has a rule where a table couldn’t order more than 30 beers which is wild to me but would be understandable for a smaller party of people…but we had 12 and if u do the math thats at least 2-3 beers per person and some people only had 1 beer and got cutoff?! The waitress then said that the manager is navy so she knows how fast people get drunk( which had no relevance to us having a couple beers) and then the manager had the audacity to come over and make a snarky comment to us being national guard. what really pissed us off was when a group of college age guys sitting beside us was served all night being loud, and rambunctious then one of the guys went to the bathroom and puked his guts up and still never got cutoff, but we keep silent about or frustrations considering we were there to watch the fights and did not want to be kicked out. By the end of the night when is was time to receive our checks the waitress somehow lost what we all ordered then had to come around the whole table to ask us what we ordered and still had EVERY single ticket wrong which took thirty minutes for us to come to the register and manually fix it ourselves. so this was just really upsetting when we all wanted to go out and have a fun night and instead got told we couldn’t be served anymore and pretty much completely killed the mood of the night. absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had at any restaurant and will not be...
Read moreI enjoy coming here cause the crowd is more young adult. It's also a family place too. The food is NOT as good as it can be here in the past 3 months. The last time I got wings some were cold. The Con Queso is the best and I didn't like the chili. The chili comes on the Hatch. Both are the same cheese dip one come with chili but after tasting the chili I rather not get it anymore. The beer battered tenders I got a month ago was very poor in taste, texture and temperature. It seems like they are stacking food lately to keep up with the heavy traffic. When I say stacking I am saying the food is already made before you order or at least they have most of it already together and that's why I think I have had some wings on the same plate to be cold, warm and hot. I frequent here a lot cause I like the environment and the lighting is brighter than most places that are similar but I have about stopped ordering the wings due to my last 3 orders having a couple of cold ones. Not frozen cold but microwaved and missed some spots cold. I asked my server do they microwave the food he explained they don't so not sure why I get any cold ones and sometimes when I would order traditional I would get boneless one with it. Not sure if they ran out or thought I wouldn't notice or maybe they thought maybe she would like 1 boneless in here. Lol
I don't know but I am giving them a lower rating cause food has been a bit mediocre lately. I understand it's probably not intentional but I have ate here at least 15-20 times in the past 6 months before giving this review to be fair.
They have started slacking in the last 2 months with the freshness and temperature of the food.
I would still recommend it but you may have to give direct instructions on making sure your food is fresh and hot.
Servers are friendly hosts are friendly and they will shout out your birthday.
Again I still recommend this place.
Music can be pretty good too and you feel like you in a small concert. I love music though. They also have outside eating and a bar.
Hope this helps.
I recommend the Street Tacos and Con Queso and the cheeseburgers. I would recommend the wings but...go try it...
