The Boiler Room — Restaurant in Florence

Booked for a birthday party, booked catering so all I had to do was show up. We arrive, absolutely nobody to be found, catering had not arrived or been set up. I called 306, they informed me it was ready, Finally they got it across the street. Then someone eventually came in to run the boiler room. Upon arriving, floors were sticky, no garbage bags in the garbage cans, no paper towels in the restroom, first restroom was filty, had over flowed. Last not least for $550 (2 hours) I shouldn't have to pay for any of the games (pool, skeeball), or call to see if anyone was working today...Thankfully I had not paid yet for the reservation, nor do I intend to when I had to contact the manager and she never bothered reaching out to see how things worked out or to apologize... I did tip the bartender well and we fed him... I don't mind paying for services, EVER!! However, what you're selling is NOT what I received today! Great little hole in the wall bar, but it needs a lot of improvement. One, what type of bar is this? A speakeasy? A dance club? A sports bar? It has too much going on, dial back the music or remove the tables and bowling lanes, everything is just off. Two, drinks and service were pretty mediocre. You know the drinks are good when the bartender has to look at the drink recipe, bonus points when the bar only has like 6 signature cocktails.

Aside from that, its pretty secretive, and walking down the long hallway then down a staircase to get to the place is an experience in itself that makes it cool. Honestly, I would remove the name from the door and outside. Its way cooler when people...

Went here 3 weeks ago the two young men would not even let me and my guest in the door. I explained my nephew, Lee, worked here and they still would not let me in. It was early and they accused me of being drunk when I had not had anything to drink. Because I came to the door laughing and dancing because I could here the music from next door they falsely accused me. Would not even get my nephew. Just said he wasn't working. I felt totally humiliated by these young nerdy looking young boys. I planned to order food too. My guests had never been here before and now will never be back and neitherwill I.
