The Chicago Cafe — Restaurant in Florence

Was looking for a place that has vegetarian options and we saw this on Google and decided to call and see what type of hot dogs they use and it is LiteLife hotdogs, which we eat alot at home so that was perfect. We called and asked if the LiteLife was cooked where the meat products were cooked and they stated that the Litelife has its own special pan and doesn't come in contact with any meat products or utensils. So we went and tried it out and boy are we glad we did. GREAT veggie dogs. 5 stars for sure. We got the Chicago style and the New York style and they were both equally delicious. They also have a verity of potato chips and drinks. The atmosphere was great. The employees were outstanding. Very nice and knowledgeable. We ended up eating outside because it was a really nice fall day and they brought our food out to us. Very nice experience. We will definitely be going back.

Note: they do have meat products here and we are vegetarians so we did not eat any of them, so to that aspect we cannot say how those items taste. This review is from a vegetarian standpoint on the food. But the employees are amazing and so is the restaurant itself. So just go give it a try. It's a great...

If you notice, every negative post about Chicago Cafe is from someone who claims to “be from Chicago” and knows “eXaCtLy HoW a ChIcAgO dOg ShOuLd TaStE”…. 🙄 🙄 Stahhhhp. This place is 🔥 and has been a staple piece of local eatery since it opened. Every bite of food and every experience I’ve had has been nothing short of exceptional. Nobody cares if it is not eXaCtLy what you get in Chicago 😏😏.

I appreciate the fact that a local business owner spiced things up in our area and is providing an amazing late night spot with delicious food. Not to mention the fact that the past two nights that I have been there (12/14/24 & 12/15/24), the guys working the counter, kitchen & even the guys bringing in chairs from outside were BEYOND friendly, professional and welcoming. Even when I ordered 25 min before closing (something I’m blaming on my wife for making me do). Seriously, each staff member seemed legitimately grateful to be making my food…. Who does that??? I’ll tell you: People who take pride in their job and are proud of the brand in which they represent…. Keep up the great...

Love this place, great food and great people. There's just ONE thing I wish they'd do that they don't do: could you guys please include nutrition information on the menu? Or maybe have printouts available upon request with at least nutritional estimates? I know it would vary a lot, especially for the dogs of the month, but I'm sure the sausages and brats have that info on their packaging, the buns probably do too, then all it would take is recording the approximation for whatever mixtures or toppings go on the dogs. You'd only have to total it all up once for each dog, document it, and then never have to worry about it again. Assuming measurements/quantities are similar for each kind of hotdog, it would at least provide an estimate to go by if you're counting calories or trying to hit some nutritional minimum.
