Update: it turned out I was given incorrect information and the change of the raspberry filling was not an indefinite change it was a temporary one because there was a delay and delivery of their normal raspberry filling so after a couple days it was back to normal. I corrected to 5 stars! I would love to give them a five star review but unfortunately about a week ago (or less) I went in to get my usual 6 raspberry filled donuts that I get about 4 to 5 times a week (my entire family and three of my friends are all hooked because I made them indulge in these amazing little raspberry filled puffs of perfection 😋) and I was so upset to look in the case only to see my donuts didn't look right.. The raspberry jelly was a lighter bright red color and I immediately felt my heart drop.. Ive been a loyal, regular customer for quite a few months now, to both locations and Im completely addicted to the raspberry filling. So much so that I have, on multiple occasions, purchased a coffee cup full of just the filling. Its not your typical donut chain jelly that looks and tastes artificial. It was a darker more realistic raspberry color, had a good amount of seeds, was the perfect balance of tart and sweet. Its the reason I am in there so much and the reason I kept going back. It set them apart from every other donut shop in the area but sadly now the filling is just like every other donut shop around. Its very artificial tasting, its color is too bright to be real and it's just average. I loved the employees and the atmosphere was great so I'm going to miss going there for my daily "fix". I have a certain favorite donut I was craving so I searched for donut shops near me and Abbe’s donut nook popped up with really good reviews and after going through the tasty pictures I was intrigued. I stopped by and after being in there a minute I realized I was late and all the early birds had been there already not leaving many worms (donuts) behind. My favorite donut I was craving was one of them so while I was pondering on trying another one, I was greeted by a nice lady. After telling her it was my first time in she responded you’re just a little late which brought a smile to my face because I realized all the donuts were gone. She went on to ask if there was any I’d like to try that were left and I told her about my favorite donut but I didn’t seem to see it and she responded hold on let me check and went into a box I guess she had packed up to take home I was happy for her to tell me the donut was there. She asked how many I’d like and I said I’ll take 3 if you have it and she sure did which made me happy. I was ready to pay but instead she said to enjoy and come back and visit us earlier and I laughed and said absolutely. Not only was the service top tier but so were the donuts. I enjoyed every bite. They were really good and I could tell they were freshly made. I highly recommend this place if you’re having a craving for donuts. Had been a regular customer since they first opened up this location in PC. It's really gone down hill over the last year. A change in their cooking oil about 6 months ago now has an after taste and fry cakes are more greasy. Housekeeping is a real issue. Rarely do they clean the outside tables and one of them tipped right off the legs onto my lap. Good thing it didn't fall on an older persons foot. Told the person inside and they weren't very concerned. The next week, it was still loose, so I took the table top right off. The hired staff is mostly rude now. Only when the owners are there, that the service is better. I'm very disappointed with the Donut Nook. Really used to enjoy going there but now I stay away. Refills on coffee are grudgingly given. There is a real need to the owners to shake things up. I used to recommend them to others, but now tell folks to go to North Port. The owner also needs to look for a different supplier for the cooking oil. I've talked to counter people several times about the taste and they just don't really care. No...
