Last night, father's day, my mother placed an online order for pick up around 630 with the expectation that our food would be ready by said time, which was 715pm. I got out of work late and first went to the wrong location. My arrival time was close to 740. When I got there, our food hadn't even been started due to a ticket not being printed. I don't know what happened, but we didn't end up getting our food until around 8pm. When I spoke to the young, African American manager (I include this description solely for the purpose of identifying the gentleman in charge at the time), he offered no apology or any sort of compensation for the mishap, he simply said our food will be ready within seven minutes- the ticket for our order never printed out. I understand technological glitches, however we didn't get our food until 45 minutes after it was supposed to be ready and the only one who was apologetic was the nice blonde bartender (again, for identifying purposes). She (I never got her name) was so kind and empathetic. She got the manager to approve of a total void on our purchase. She originally offered a discount and that discount would have sufficed completely. It wasn't necessary to void the entire order since our food was fresh when we got it, but it is greatly appreciated. She should be a manager, not the kid I spoke with. He needs to be trained on customer service again. She is the reason for the three. Had I only dealt with the manager, the scoring...
Read moreThe staff was great. Friendly and helpful.
The food was decent, and more than filling. The prices seemed a bit high, but that's just a sign of the times at the end of the Biden presidency.
The atmosphere is just not my style, but I'm not a huge sports fan. If you are, you'll probably find it more to your liking.
The place itself was better than average. However, trying to place a takeout order was impossible.
The app would not just let me sign in. It sent a code to my email. After entering the code, I clicked the button to sign in. It sent me to a page to set up an account. Attempting to do so, as it refused to just sign me in, I was unable to do so because although I used a different email account, I don't have a spare phone number. That triggered a notice that the number is already in use, and kicked me back to the code entry page.
Then I went online. Filled out my order on the web site, and when I tried to check out, it had issues when I entered my payment information. That was with three different cards, and there is no option to just pay when you pick it up.
"Just call it in.", you might say. Well, I tried that too. They use an automated voice recognition software system that does not allow the customization that the app and web site offer.
None of that was the fault of this particular establishment, but until their corporate entity gets their fecal matter together with their ordering systems, I will likely not...
Read moreI wasn’t going to write a review but the more I sit on this the more it frustrates me. We visited this past father’s day, and it was hard because my grandfather just passed away. His favorite meal was wings and a beer at beefs so that’s what we were going to do. My grandmother doesn’t eat much but has a huge sweet tooth - and she wanted a root beer float. I ordered for her because she’s 88 and gets overwhelmed (and also just lost her husband) - and the server was just very appalled that I would order a root beer float on such a busy day. I get it, I’m a server, I would probably be annoyed too. I apologized and said if they could just get me root beer and a side of ice cream I’d be more than happy to do it. The server walks away and comes back and says she’s just too busy to do that and asks if she can get me anything else and I told her just the root beer would be fine. The rest of our time there is a little unpleasant. You could tell the server didn’t want to be there - again I get it.
I try to live life with the assumption that you never know what the person across from you is going through. Maybe our server had just lost a loved one as well and on top of it had to work father’s day. It’s just very disappointing to me that a very simple ask turned our first father’s day without my grandfather into a not so...
