After residing within minutes of Beef O'Brady's Ellenton location for 5-years, my gorgeous bride and I decided rather spontaneously last evening to give it a try. The parking lot along the side of the building was already filling up at 5 PM but we easily found a spot to park the buggy and ventured-on-in. Upon entering we spied a bar that was full of patrons, lots of big screen TV's playing away, and a limited number of open tables. The hostess suggested we seat ourselves and since no booth's were available, we made our way to a table with 4-chairs and like the car.... we parked it. The hostess immediately presented us with menus and informed us that Sidney would be taking-care-of-us.... which she did with a smile and pleasant nature from soup-to-nuts. Monday is burger night at Beef's and son-of-a-gun, when we ventured out, I informed my gorgeous bride that I was in the mood for a burger.... and man, we came to the right place! Sidney checked-in-on-us a couple of times as we familiarized ourselves with the menu and we eventually ordered our libations. Great price on well drinks and ice cold Heinies btw!!! Sidney soon sauntered over again and asked if we were ready to order.... My gorgeous bride ordered a salad -of-some-sort with chicken for protein and it was served heaping and fresh. Happy Camper! Moi, I elected some gigundo burger with double bacon, cheese, grilled onions, and get this... a tub of molten queso to dump atop the big-boy-burger.... Heart attack? Me? Never! My BBB arrived replete with the crispy French fries I requested and it was a sight to behold.... the quintessential burger smothered in bacon, cheese, grilled onions, lettuce, pickles and a slice of tomato, resting peacefully on a toasted bun.... I undressed this feast by removing the upper bun, poured the molten queso all over the ground beef staring back at me, replaced the upper bun.... and reached for my knife and fork.... I do NOT believe that this molten queso dripping, fully dressed gustatorial extravaganza could have been consumed without wearing it, by picking it up and rendering it to ones mouth.... Damn! Wasn't it tasty! Grilled to perfection. Time for a Cadillac Margarita to wash it down and once again, Sidney to the rescue.
Anyway, we enjoyed our first ever meal at Beef's and the 2-entre's accompanied by 2 rum-and-cokes, a top shelf Margarita, and a frosty Heineken totaled out to about forty-two bucks. I happily parted with about a 20% gratuity 'cause Sidney was spot-on in taking care of us.... So, we un-parked our respective butts from the table, waddled-well-sated with full belly's to the awaiting buggy in the parking lot, climbed in and drove off into the Florida sunset. Is Beef O'Brady's a 5-star dining haven? NO! Is it a fun place with great prices and an extensive menu? You bet! Yes, my gorgeous bride and I will venture back to Beef's again. Hope it is as consistent as was our...
Read moreParrish FLA Beefs! Worst service ever, "owner " and disrespectful waitress. Ordered a lousianna hot sauce chicken sandwich, grilled, numerous times from numerous beefs, including the one we attend always and have ordered and received previously. Apparently tonight, louisiana hot sauce meant rubbed! I have a very high tolerance for hot food. One small bite, couldn't eat it. Noticed it was rubbed, thought ok? Try it. Couldn't eat it. Had the waitress come and apologize, we are changing the menu, maybe that's not on it anymore..... OK. Why didn't you tell me that? I said the menu says it and I've had about two weeks ago.... yes but we are changing the menu.... again why didn't you say when I ordered? The the "owner" comes over with the menu, on the wing page. I said I ordered from the sandwich page. Which says louisiana hot SAUCE, again which I've received numerous times from multiple beefs... he tells me I'm wrong. He's trying to figure out what it is I got.... I got a louisiana hot sauce sandwich grilled like always (I have also ordered it fried as sold and it was sauce not rub) I mean how do you dry rub a deep fried sandwich???! He was so disrespectful we said unless you can give me the sandwich is ordered I don't need to talk anymore, he was so rude and condescending. Great example for his staff. They took the food off the bill. Doesn't even come close to account for the treatment and disrespect. Shamefull and unbelievable. Check out your menu and the...
Read moreWe stopped in because it's been ages since I have been to Beef-o-Bradys.
It used to be my go-to place for lunch during the week. That all changed when they got rid of my favorite sandwich, "The Waterson." I had been able to get them to make it once or twice even after it was off the menu, but now it was a no-go.
The food was good and pretty much what you would expect from a sports bar. My son really enjoyed his build your own burger, but it was a little greasy. I mean, for some, that's what makes a good bar burger!
The biggest surprise was that the server was so unfriendly. It's not that she was rude but just unfriendly, very short, and just unhelpful in general - and they were not busy so I have no explanation for it other than shes not happy and probably should find another job.
The numerous TVs as a sports bar keep everyone entertained, including my wife, who actually watched golf and enjoyed it - another surprise for both of us since neither of us...
