Before you try this place you have to change the way you think about pizzaā¦
First of all thereās no better value for pizza on earth.
Unlimited toppings with a crispy wood fire crust for under 10 bucks. Yeah 10 bucks.. unlimited topping choices..
When you go inside itās like going into a subway or a chipotle, you step up and they make it right in front of you. The more toppings you put on the little longer it takes to bake in the oven but itās worth the wait. Youāll be in and out of there in under 10 minutes. They move the mine fast!!
We drive all the way down from Punta Gorda or will go up to the one in Sarasota. We love the staff in the Fort Myers location the best. Gabby Who is one of the star resources there always makes you feel real welcome and does a great job explaining the process to you.
And Adam meets you at the end when your pizza comes out of the oven. He always hooks me up with Ranch dressing to dunk my bites in!!
Everyone is very friendly and the dining room is extra large with outdoor dining so itās real Covid friendly.
Here is what I wouldnāt do.. I would not try to have it delivered from door dash or Uber eats.
It wonāt be crispy and fresh. Donāt judge it if youāre going the traditional call in and wait a half hour route route of ordering by phone and having it delivered to your door. Youāre doing yourself a disservice.
Where it shines is by being a place to walk in like a chipotle or Subway and have it made fresh in front of you.
Like I said you got to think differently about pizza. But... it will be the best pizza youāve ever tasted once you get your toppings dialed in.
We crave it and go once a week!!
Now weāre praying for one to be put here in Punta Gorda. We live in the Deep Creek community off Kings highway and itās a huge residential area that place jumping.
When I say praying, I donāt mean that weāre standing naked outside holding crystals and a caged squirrel facing the moon begging on a nightly basis... But the pizzas so good, the price is so affordable that you can catch us out there three nights a week begging.. lol jk
Seriously weād live off it bc itās so healthy.
Hopefully the Gods will hear us. In the meantime you gotta check out BLAZE PIZZA in Fort Myers or...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was so excited to see this place being built. I have had Blaze Pizza in the past up in the northern part of Florida and anticipated the opening of this location. However, after my experience of Monday, July 27th, 2020, I truly can't foresee myself returning in the future. I ordered two of the Green Stripe pizzas through their online website for pick-up. I admit, their mobile website is a bit less user-friendly as one might assume for a large chain restaurant which may have led to the first of many mishaps, which I excuse them for. Per the mobile website, my order was said to be 2 Green Stripe pizzas, but one would have a Cauliflower dough/crust, their Vegan alternative for an up-charge of $3.50.
Regardless, I came inside the restaurant and let a manager know about my dispute with the Cauliflower crust, they said they hadn't made it yet so it wasn't a problem. That interaction took about 15 minutes. However, when they gave me my 2 pizzas, I had received one Green Stripe pizza and one that isn't even one of their signature pizzas. It was a red pie with chicken, red peppers, and chicken, a combination that doesn't even exist on their app or website. Either way, I complained at the drive-thru, the person took my two receipts, had to let me keep the incorrectly made pizza, and told me to park at the reserved drive-thru spot. A woman came out and handed me another pizza along with a free pizza coupon next time for the inconvenience. I checked it, and it was the SAME INCORRECT ONE. So, I went in again, letting a new manager know about the problem. The man's name was Sterling and he was very understanding. He apologized for the major inconvenience as more of the workers were listening into the problem. He made the correct pizza in front of me, confirmed before boxing, and sent me on my way with another free pizza coupon, a very touching gesture. All in all, I spent 55 minutes at this location for what was supposed to be a 10-minute order via their mobile website.
TLDR: Order in-person and have time to burn or spend your money elsewhere.
P.S. -- A great alternative is McGregor Pizza & Deli Co. ; A wonderful local business in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was here visiting family and had never heard of Blaze Pizza. I saw on Google that Blaze has a decent rating and the restaurant was close to where we were hanging out, so I decided to place a pickup order online. I ordered a large pepperoni and sausage, a large pepperoni and double cheese, a small gluten free mushroom, and cheese bread.
The restaurant seemed clean. My order was as ready when it was supposed to be. The staff was welcoming. When I got back to my family all of the food was still hot. The flavors were good (I tried all four items that I bought).
Upon looking at my receipt I noticed that Iād been charge a 15% tip which I didnāt know about and certainly didnāt authorize. I tip very well for good service when I dine in, and I am generous with delivery drivers, but I generally donāt tip if Iām picking up my order. I was shocked that a 15% tip would be added to an online order without the consent of the customer. At no point in the online ordering process was the addition of a tip noted.
I called the store for more than 20 minutes but no one answered. I made a complaint online.
The next day I received both an email and a phone call from a manager. They seemed to sincerely want to know what had gone wrong on their end. They were apologetic and compensated for their mistake.
Blaze Pizza certainly needs to address a couple of issues. First, no more automatically charging online customers a 15% tip that they did not initiate. Second, answer your phone.
BUT, I was impressed with their follow up. They won me back with their customer service. Iāll give them...
