Great store that is full of lovely, unique items for any home. I love to shop here for my Ft Myers home and have bought many items to haul back up north in the Summer to our lake home.
Recently I brought in 2 out of state friends and the door greeting was almost enough to stop us in our tracks and leave!! 😣
While opening the door, we were immediately told to Get our masks on, all while she was watching all 3 of us already reaching in our purses and holding masks, as the sign had just said to wear it. (FYI ~ There are many Stores no longer requiring masks!!) We were also more than 8+ feet away from her and any other shoppers while standing at the door!! We told her ok, No worries, that we had all been vaccinated and she then went on to scold us that "We can still carry the virus to others"?!! WTH??!! 😖 If people are scared of getting the virus, then THEY should stay home and out of the germs!! We didn't ask her if she had been vaccinated to put her on the defense!!
The mask debate is exhausting!! Supposedly, they are about protecting us from spreading our own bad germs to others. Since we are all healthy 55+ yr old women and have all been vaccinated, her point made No sense that we can still spread the virus that we don't have!!!! The masks are truly Not able to keep anyone from getting the germs around them, unless a person is wearing the heavy duty N95 masks!!! Clearly, this woman needs to wear one!!
Please inform your employees of the virus Facts, about those being responsible and vaccinated, and how rudely her "greeting" felt more like an attack to us!!! We had been vaccinated in January and should be able to feel confident now about Not wearing our cheezy paper masks, as we aren't spreading any bad germs!!!
Soooo unfortunately after walking around a few more minutes, thinking about how we were "greeted", my friends said they didn't need to purchase anything from this store and we left. (They spent their money elsewhere!!) I'm truly not sure right now if I'll go back in for awhile, if ever....but I can assure you that I won't be bringing in any of my friends and family who visit, to be greeted like this while we're out shopping, being Very healthy, responsible adults, enjoying our...
Read moreNon-Existent Customer Service. We made multiple phone calls to purchase an item we cannot find anywhere else and worked our way, very nicely, up the chain. They refused to ship it to us under the guise of "fear that it would break". It's a 24" resin garden statue. We agreed to put in writing not to hold them responsible - we can glue. The truth is, they just couldn't be bothered to use bubble wrap just like amateurs on ebay who manage to ship crystal. We got scammed trying to get it somewhere else. They advertise online and should be will to provide the least amount of service to paying customers.
Response to the Owner: The wholesaler will not sell to the general public. If I could find it anywhere else, I would not have gone to all this trouble with you. It is made out of resin, not crystal - which is also commonly shipped. You have it advertised with a delivery price (see screenshot attached). My son on the other coast graduated school, in the Navy and is now in California. We absolved you of any responsibility if it arrives damaged - I can glue. It Can be shipped, you just can't be...
Read moreThis is the best place if you like nautical/beach decor. The prices here are below the average and the selection is huge. I've been to two locations, one directly on Sanibel Island and the other in Ft Myers. Both stores are nice but I prefer Ft Myers, the store is very large and they have it arranged by color and that is awesome , all the light blue stuff is together, all the dark blue stuff is together and so on. This makes decorating and accessorizing a breeze. They carry some beautiful table linens at very reasonable prices. They have a little of everything it reminds me a little like Hobby Lobby meets Home Goods combined. The Ft Myers store is big and you can spend a few hours there just looking at everything. The Sanibel Store is well stocked but limited with the size of store, but even though that store is directly on the island the prices still can't be beat. Ft Myers carries more small furniture and large clocks, than Sanibel store. From sea shells to greeting cards, gifts, kitchen accessories to wall decor this is...
