Terrible experience (Not family friendly, no refunds, no remakes) The owner just cursed me out in front my wife, kids, and his other customers because I wanted a refund. when I didn't get what I ordered, i asked to get it made over. The courteous young lady at the counter informed me that the owner would not let her; I requested a refund and she told me nobody in the store is authorized to give a refund. She called him and handed me the phone politely. He identified himself as the owner and told me that he does not issue refunds. After explaining to him that I am entitled to my refund, i asked that I leave my address for a check to be mailed to me. Another family who observed what was going on exchanged information with me in case i needed a witness. After I refused again to get a check mailed to me and explained to the owner, he had me wait at the store for a while until he could get there. He issued the refund but used profanities towards me and asked that I get the (profane language) out if here and never show my (profane language) face here anymore. This is not how business should be conducted anywhere in the world, consumers have the right to good service or their money back. Kids should also never be subjected to the type of experience or language he exposed my kids to. It's definitely not a family...
Read moreWhat the other recent reviews state is accurate. The new ownership is in dire need of entry-level business and customer relationship management training. I arrived just as a previous reviewer, Carl S. was leaving. The owner was literally leaning out of the small order window, screaming and cursing at this gentleman and his family. I have never seen a business owner, let alone an adult act this way. Not knowing the full background on his story until I just read his review, we ordered and sat on the side patio. The scoop sizing appears to have been cut in half since our previous visits, just like some of the other reviewers state. The '2-scoop' portion barely crested the top of my serving cup. However, the ice cream did taste just like I remember, which was creamy and delicious.
In addition, the patio chairs were locked so tightly with a security cable that none of us could sit in them. Its sad that a place I have gone to for years with my young children is suffering from a lack of proper management operation. The younger employees that assisted us were very friendly despite the owner's attitude. I hope they can turn the business around soon and I...
Read moreThe worker was very nice. But the ice cream tasted freezer burnt and The cone was old. On top of that, Bruster's is known for the way they scooped their ice cream. They usually get more ice cream on the paddle and overfill. It's honestly what they are known for. But this ice cream was scooped with a regular ice cream scoop. Which would have been fine if it had tasted good. I know brusters ice cream, WELL! I used to frequent the one in Knoxville, Tennessee which was amazing and I also frequented the one in Chattanooga, TN regularly! I never had a problem anytime and the ice cream was absolutely amazing. I always remember that every Bruster's had the same smell. You could smell the delicious waffle cones. This place had no inviting smell to it. I'm afraid this place may be cutting corners to try to save money. My small cake cone of ice cream was over $6. Bruster's is also known for their reasonably priced items. I'm super sad about it. I wanted to have a good Bruster's near by that I...
