James (owner) is a coffee nerd/savant of the highest order! He and his wife Olga run this hidden gem that you've probably passed by if you've visited Wiregrass Mall. Having just moved to the area, I was looking for a shop to make my regular spot. After seeing James show me small batches of multiple varieties of coffee from around the globe that he roasted that day, I knew this wasn't going to be the usual coffee shop/bored barista/soulless experience. You know what I'm talking about - the places where the people serving you seem scared to make eye contact. No small talk. No continuity, building relationships. Well, I love seeing the whole team at Coffee Latitudes and everyone is very friendly, great conversations and connections made. Of course, if it's too hot for you to get outside, which is totally understandable in the summer under this Florida sun, you can always buy bags to take home - they'll even grind it for you, if you prefer. We recently bought a bag of red coffee berry beans from Nicaragua, from a small family farm. Want a taste of Sumatra or Yemen or Honduras or...the list goes on and they source the best from all over the world. So forget about the drive-through at Starbucks that takes forever, with the menu prices jumping every few months and come support a local family business - there's almost always parallel parking just in front of their store so you can be in and out before you know it. From the moment you step in, you're greeted by the best customer service I've ever encountered. Has an old bar feel (but trendy atmosphere) where everyone is a friend!

The Italian avocado toast is a must-try—crusty bread topped with creamy avocado slices, mozzarella cheese, red onions, basil, tomatoes, and a drizzle of olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette. It's so delicious I could eat it every day. Their homemade cookies and muffins are perfectly lightly sweetened and always fresh. For those craving classic breakfast fare, you can have a genuine New York bagel (not a Florida wanna-be!) or indulge in French croissants (from France!) made with real butter. If soup is your thing, they make those fresh too, I tried the roasted garlic soup just wow 😋!

As yummy as all the food is, Coffee Latitudes is serious about their freshly roasted coffees and they are outstanding. The coffee from Peru quickly became my favorite, but you won’t be disappointed with any of their roasts. Take a bag of beans home! The cozy atmosphere, enhanced by great background music, invites you to linger and enjoy your coffee.

The best chocolate chip muffin and iced mocha latte I’ve had in forever! All the pastries here are made fresh daily, and it shows. My husband and I finally stopped by this adorable coffee shop we’ve been eyeing for a while. We squeezed in a quick coffee date before our busy day, and I’m so glad we did.

The moment we walked in, we were greeted with smiles, soft, relaxing music, and a cozy buzz of happy customers chatting and enjoying freshly made treats. The menu wasn’t overwhelming—it was easy to pick from, and the prices were super affordable.

It was tough to decide on a pastry, but we went with the chocolate chip muffin and an iced mocha latte. Let me tell you, that muffin? Absolute heaven. Warm, moist, packed with gooey chocolate chips—it was so good I had to stop and compliment the chef.

As we sipped our drinks and soaked up the welcoming atmosphere, the owner came over for a friendly chat. He was so warm and personable, and it’s clear this place reflects the heart and personality of its owners.

This was our first visit, but it definitely won’t be our last. I think we’ve officially found our new coffee date spot!
