I’m trying my best to find the positive in this experience, but this was by far the worst pedicure experience I have ever had. To give credit where credit is due: The salon has a cute aesthetic, and the pedicure chairs are very nice. The seats are plush, and comfortable. The staff is about as pleasant as can be expected, however, that is essentially the best of a terrible situation.
I would like to mention that at any such establishment obviously there is a possibility of people who are both good and bad at their jobs, but this experience was so harrowing I didn’t want anyone else to suffer a similar outcome if at all possible. For the sake of time, I’m going to quick list all of the issues in bullet point as follows:
1— The technician was poorly training and simply bad at her job. She overly cut my cuticles and had poor awareness of pain and discomfort she was causing. 2- Her French technique was very poor and when I pointed out the painting mistakes, she argued that’s how it was done and dismissed me before continuing to do the rest of the pedicure incorrectly. 3- Over all poor service and professionalism. Given my lean physique she took 1 hot towel and laid it across both legs, while other women in the chairs that were shaped differently all received 2 towels wrapped completely around the legs. 4- Since the polish was so terribly applied, I asked another tech if it would be possible to have it fixed it as my original tech had moved on. The original tech stops mid service working on a client that suffered from ingrown toenails and fungus and USES THE SAME SET OF WET GLOVES to come and fix my nails. I was utterly repulsed by the lack of hygienic protocol I was paralyzed in mortification and didn’t even protest this violation.
The icing on the cake was when I was charged not once, but twice for what I would consider the WORST and possible MOST EXPENSIVE pedicure service of all time.
**EDIT 1: I was refunded
Conclusion: if you are completely desperate, this would be my last choice, but it will get the job done.
**Edit 2: response to management staff:
I DID get my service completed at your salon. If you check your records, and speak with your staff, you will see that the pedicure service was completed on the afternoon of Nov. 3rd. You were out of town on vacation.
I hope this can be a helpful review and you are able to do some training and provide proper education on sanitary procedures and customer service to your staff.
Best of luck!
I did however change my rating from a 2--1 star. I just feel as though the amount of work I have been required to put in to correct the service and this response left a poor taste in my mouth.
The salon may possible be closer to a 3 star, but MY PERSONAL experience has...

3 days later and my nails and moms are chipping!! Still have yet to hear back from the owner. This was not worth over 100.00!!!
This will be my last visit to this establishment. The last time I went, I had a pleasant experience with the gentleman who did my nails. He listened and made sure I was happy. Tonight was the complete opposite.
When making my appointment, I specified that I needed a gel polish change for both my nails and toes. The receptionist asked me twice over the phone about a refill, to which I replied "no" both times. I also booked a simple polish pedicure for my mom. Upon arriving, the lady at the front desk again asked me about a refill, and I reiterated that I did not want one nor needed a refill.
The toe polish change was not pleasant. I repeatedly told the nail technician that it hurt and that her nails were stabbing me while she was gripping my toes. I must have mentioned it at least four times. When it came time for my hands, she asked about a refill again. I clarified that I did not have acrylic nails and showed her my hands with only gel polish. She consulted with the front desk lady but still seemed confused.
I showed her the nail design I wanted, which she confirmed she could do. However, she never actually executed the design. My mother opted for regular nail polish, not gel, but the technician started with gel. When I corrected her, she seemed irritated, and I overheard her mock my mother in their language, commenting on her displeasure.
During my gel manicure, everything seemed fine initially. I showed her the design, half one color and half another, and she agreed. I was distracted reading my book and didn't notice until later that she didn't do the design on the nails I specified.
Upon checking out, I was shocked to be charged $100 for a toe polish change and a gel manicure without the design. They only offered an 18% tip or higher, which is unreasonable. Additionally, there's a $1 charge for every transaction, which I find unnecessary. Previous visits never cost me more than $65, tip included. I even had a $10 off coupon that they couldn't apply this time, suggesting I use it next time. When I inquired about adjusting the charges to account for the coupon, they refused, citing deductions from the technician's earnings.
In conclusion, the staff are rude, push services you didn't request, and enforce a minimum 18% tip. I won't be returning. I would appreciate it if the owner could call me after...
Read moreI needed a fill in, pedicure, and an eyebrow wax. I got there tonight around 6pm straight from a long day at work. The male in charge told me it would be a 15 min wait. I waited. 5 people came in after me and all 5 went in ahead of me- three needed nail procedures and 4 got pedicures. Hmm- same stuff I was in there for. I asked the male in charge why were they ahead of me- Was this because they had an appointment and he said no- he said that he would be doing my nails because the others didn't know how to do a fill in?? Made no sense but I waited some more. 6:40 pm came- still waiting. 6:46 comes, another patron comes in for an eyebrow wax- she is immediately helped- hmm another service I was in there for. At this point I decided to leave. I called right away and asked the male in charge why I was still waiting and everyone else was still going ahead of me. He gave me the same spill and how he wanted me to get my fill in first - I reminded him that I also wanted the pedicure and the eyebrow wax, why couldn't I have gotten those things while I waited?? Every nail place I have gone to does it that way. I Told him my time was valuable and I had things to do. He offered me an appointment, I politely declined. He failed to see that as a black person, being asked to wait while everyone else who wasn't black came in after me and was serviced right away -6 in total made me feel or looked. Intended or ignorance - either way I will not be back and will take my...
