So we haven't been back to carrabba since the review below. We were in this area decided to try lunch at Carrabba's before an appointment my wife had. Their lunch specials are legit. For 12 bucks you get a choice of salad soup and a small entree. A perfect lunch for $12. Our server was Ryan at the Lutz location and he was absolutely perfect. He was funny gregarious and he checked on us a perfect amount. He was not up in our business and he did not ignore us. Happy to post something positive after our last experience. Glad we tried you again
Two stars may be extra low for what happened. My wife and I were without our teenagers tonight and decided to go have dinner. We have a ton of gift cards we want to use. We had a lovely meal as usual at this location but they still have their Valentine's deal going on. This includes a drink before dinner, an appetizer, and entree, and dessert for $65. Our service was great and we told the server at the very beginning that we will be probably taking part of our meal and the dessert home. We finished the meal and it took them 30 minutes to get a piece of cake in a box for us to take home. We sat for 30 minutes on a Friday night, waiting with our server where we can see her begging them to give it to her, for a piece of cake to be put in a box. I'm not exaggerating the 30 minutes. Finally a manager or assistant manager came over and said she wanted to give us a free dessert card but she had to go get that approved by someone else. After 30 minutes I think you arrive with it in hand. I told her no thank you and told her I was going to write a review, then she offered to take care of the whole meal. I declined. Better for Carrabba's that they get money from us one last time. I'm probably overreacting on this one, but literally 30 minutes... I am not exaggerating... Sitting and waiting for them to put a piece of cake in a box. By the way they tried to tell us about 10 different stories about why it was taking so long. They could have spent the time they spent coming up with those stories getting the piece of cake. I was very ready to leave without it. But it was kind of the point of the thing. I also offered our server and my wife to go back and do it myself but my wife convinced me not to do that! Probably for the best.
I typically reserve doing reviews for local businesses and I truly try to find something good about them. If someone does us wrong I think it's important for you to know that too. Why do business with a local company that isn't going to take care of you properly or the way they promised. There are a lot of other businesses out there that are...
Read moreToday is our wedding anniversary and tomorrow is Mother’s Day. We did not expect to get a table quickly but we called ahead and got seated as soon as we arrived! Our server Kristen appeared promptly and took our drink order and came back for our food order. She explained the specials and took our orders. The soup I ordered and the salad my wife ordered were delivered quickly and were both excellent. When our entrees arrived I found my steak to be way underdone and the chicken as well. We called Kristen back, and she took them back, leaving the ravioli which was very good The floor manager, Danielle, returned with my new steak and chicken, but the steak was again underdone, so she returned it again. The chicken was cooked well this time so she left that for me to eat. The next steak was also underdone so it was returned as well. The fourth steak was brought out and was finally cooked acceptably. By this time we were all getting frustrated, but both Kristen and Danielle kept their cool and comped my meal and offered free dessert. I have had enough experience eating in restaurants to understand that these things happen, not that it is a pleasant experience for anyone, but it is the response of the restaurant staff that makes the difference as to whether the situation is resolved in a mutually acceptable manner. In this case both Kristen and Danielle were professional and they handled the situation appropriately. We were there longer (much longer) than planned, but came away with a positive impression of this Carrabba’s visit. I would not hesitate to return to this location knowing how they treat their customers when things do not go as planned. Thank you Kristen and Danielle for turning what could have been an unpleasant experience into a...
Read moreI had the absolute pleasure of dining at Carrabba's Italian Grill (Lutz, FL), where our experience was elevated by the exceptional service provided by our server Danielle, and her incredible team. From the moment we arrived, Danielle greeted us with a warm smile, genuine enthusiasm, and a level of professionalism that immediately made us feel welcome.
Throughout our visit, Danielle went above and beyond to ensure our every need was met. She had an impeccable knowledge of the menu, offering thoughtful recommendations that perfectly suited our preferences. Her attentiveness never wavered, ensuring our drinks were refilled promptly and that every course arrived at just the right time. Despite a bustling dining room, her calm and friendly demeanor made us feel like we were her top priority.
What truly stood out, however, was the seamless teamwork among her and her co-workers. Whether it was assisting with large trays of food or ensuring our table was clear and comfortable, the entire team worked together flawlessly. It was evident that they supported one another wholeheartedly, creating an atmosphere of positivity and efficiency that enriched our experience.
By the end of our meal, my family and I couldn’t stop talking about how wonderful the service was. Danielle and her co-workers left such a lasting impression that we are already looking forward to our next visit. This team exemplifies hospitality at its finest, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank you for making our...
