Just went to this Chili's in Cross County Plaza for lunch today and the service was absolutely terrible. We did have a larger party, but there were only two tables sitting there when we arrived, and it still took 15 minutes for them to get our table together. The entire place was practically empty, so it should not have taken more than a few minutes at most. The server did not come and refill our drinks, we had to ask for them, and even then she only brought the refill for whoever asked. Others were empty, and were never refilled even once. Even with a few tables, the food took forever to come out. Some of the orders were wrong, someone couldn't even eat her food because it was too spicy and when she tried to order something else, it was forgotten so she didn't get to eat at all. Someone else didn't get their food until much later and even then we had to ask where it was. Even then they were told she would get it as soon as she figured out our checks! NO Lady! go get the food so that person can eat!!
Some of our party had to pay and leave to get back to work since most working people only have an hour for lunch and we had already been there for over an hour. She gave a few of the checks to the wrong people. She started getting snippy with us and said that we should have told her we wanted separate checks when we first got there, so she forgot what everyone had and had to write it all down again in to get the checks separated. I'm sorry, but normally when people come in on their lunch break, they are most likely going to get separate checks so she should have asked herself. The lunch desserts were also forgotten until we had to ask for those too. Someone got an order to go, and even that came back missing half of the order!
I always try to give everyone and every place the benefit of the doubt for being new or not having enough help or whatever the case, however this was the worst. Our entire party was super frustrated and a couple of them even spoke to the manager. We were wondering why most of the restaurant was empty, but now we know why. We wound up being there for almost two hours, when our lunch break is only supposed to be an hour. There were 12 of us there, and none of us will be going back there. Completely...
Read moreI walked into chilis with my husband and my service dog. It was about 9 at night. We just wanted to grab a drink and dessert for my husbands birthday. We were questioned by the hostess if he was a service dog, he had a vest on. So we showed her the vest, pointed to it. She was about to seat us but another girl sitting on the bench by the waiting area by the hostess station said he can’t come in without a leash, so I said ok don’t worry I have something better. My husband went to get my dogs stroller and we put him in that. We walked back in, the hostess, the manger on duty and that same girl, who’s hair was up in a bun and looked homeless, not even sure if she worked there, it seemed like she did but wasn’t actually working at the time, were all waiting at the hostess station. They’re all staring not saying a word. So my husband said we’ll just sit at a table near the bar. The manager said we couldn’t because of the stroller. He was also giving us a problem about my service dog again. My husband proceeded to tell him we have paper work and his vest, we even put him in a stroller so he wouldn’t be on their floor or near anyone. He’d just be next to me. I’m a diabetic who sometimes has seizures which is why I have him. Anyway we wound up leaving because they all gave us such a problem. They could have easily moved a chair for the stroller to fit at a table. So we left and went to BJ’s near the outlets. Guess what?! They welcomed us in with open arms, guess where we sat?! IN THE BAR AREA , at a high top table. The waiter, Joe, moved a chair and fit the stroller right in. The manager also came over and brought water for the dog, I didn’t even ask for it. CHILIS, is a an awful place to be. What rude staff and made me feel so un welcomed! I’ll never ever go back! You can’t refuse someone service because they have a service dog or make up a million excuses as to why we can’t sit in a certain area with our service dog. What a joke. This place is awful and I would give absolutely no stars if I could! Go to BJ,s, they’re friendly, welcoming and have a better environment. I definitely didn’t see any homeless looking person by the hostess station being rude...
Read moreIt’s decent, the hosts are NEVER friendly if they are busy and they ask if you want to sit at the bar and you say no they always roll their eyes. I came here all the time when I first moved to Florida because I loved Chili’s but always had to bear bad customer service so I just had to stop coming, then came for me and my lady’s anniversary and had a great experience from entrance host to drinks to food and great server, then I came again solo and right from the get go the hostess was irritated when I didn’t want to sit at the bar, then I when I sat I waited for about 10-15 minutes and a server came up and asked if I’ve even been greeted yet I told her no and she apologized and told me she would let my server know asap. The server came and I ordered my appetizer and drink right away. I noticed the server had two large parties including myself which meant she was obviously very busy which I could understand completely however i had also noticed that she had been attending their tables non stop without even realizing my drink had to be refilled or even asked if I was ready to place my dinner order. I had tried to get her attention a few times but couldn’t finally after about 25 min the same server who asked if I had been greeted came by and asked if I was still waiting to place my order I told her I was and that I needed a refill and she immediately apologized and took my order. My appetizer came out right after then after about five minutes my entree came out so I was eating both at the same time which was a little frustrating, my fries were cold so sent them back and they came back very good. Overall the frustration was that my server was not tending to me but waiting on her big tables hand and foot while a server from a different section...
