China Wok — Restaurant in Florida

CORRECTION I was wrong!!

Thanks to the owner's response to me, I'm letting you that my review is incorrect for this China Wok Chinese Restaurant that's located in Wesley Chapel.

This review was meant for amazingly for another China Wok Chinese Restaurant (same name) that's located a few miles down the road in New Tampa at 6431 County Line Rd, Ste 105, Tampa 33647 . This business is located in the same plaza as Winn-Dixie and LA Fitness.

My sincere apologies to the owner and the valued customers who couldn't believe that his China Wok's quality was not superior as usual. I'll be reposting my critique to 'the other China Wok'

I've been a loyal, happy and complaint free customer for a few years until today. My takeout was Chicken with Garlic Sauce, and Pork Lo Mein. The chicken dish was as good as always but the Pork Lo Mein was darker color than usual and a bite was so salty that the dish was unedible. I know that they care about quality but they must be cognizant of spices and especially salt. I don't mind some salt but not tasting like salt brine... My entree was unacceptable! By the way, my takeout order was $22.01 plus my tip. Looking at my receipt, I also see that your register shows the incorrect time, as it's showed 10:04...

I am writing to report a serious incident that occurred with my recent order at your establishment. Last Saturday, I ordered chicken wings and pork fried rice. While eating, I bit down on a rock that was in the food—nearly cracking my tooth. This could have caused significant dental damage and poses a serious food safety concern. When I contacted your staff about the incident, I was told that I would be given a credit. However, I later found out the credit was only $3, which is unacceptable considering the severity of the situation. This response feels dismissive of the potential harm this could have caused. I have photos of the object and a recording of the call made at the time of the incident. Since the matter was not handled appropriately, I will be reporting this incident to the appropriate local health authorities for further investigation. Food safety should be a top priority, and I hope you take this seriously moving...

This was our go to at least once a week. The past few times it’s been annoying. A few times now I have waited for my order for an hour… I call my order in before leaving work and get there when they say it will be ready. If it’s 20-30 mins I arrive at 30 mins. I have prior planning when ordering so this doesn’t happen. 10 more minutes to wait cool. But an hour!!!!! If I hadn’t paid before my food being ready I would’ve walked out. I plan ahead because I have a diabetic dog that needs insulin and food at specific times. Sure I could walk out and take care of my dog but I would have to list the transaction as fraudulent and wait for a new card.

We will never order from here again. Once in a while is not an issue. But three times out of the last 6 times we’ve ordered is ridiculous.
