I rarely write reviews. But I'm writing this one because I read so many of the other ones. Lots of five star reviews. A couple of bad reviews.
I really don't pay any attention to the bad reviews when there are so many good ones. So needless to say I was very excited to find that the Country House restaurant was only a couple of blocks from where I was staying.
I was really looking forward to the yummy breakfast that I read so much about on their reviews. I am quite the connoisseur country cooking. The restaurant itself is very adorable and comfortable. Coffee was good... Not outstanding as I read, but good.
I got a pretty standard breakfast. Two eggs over medium, patty sausage, grits with a biscuit and a side order of gravy for my biscuit.
The service was nothing exceptional. I would not call it friendly or welcoming. I would call it rushed at best.
When my order came it looked great. The eggs were perfectly fine and the patty sausage looked delicious... And it was. The biscuit looked good and I really liked it.
However the grits were not good at all. At all. They absolutely did not know how to cook good grits. If anyone tried grits from this place for their first time, they would never have grits again in their life. I'm certain the cooks cooked the grits the way the directions told them to... but they obviously have never had good grits before. This is exactly why some people don't like grits... They think they all taste like this.
The gravy definitely came from a mix... out of a bag or out of a jar or a can. Meh.
Then, I got my bill. $20 and some change. Nah. I'll take Waffle House over Country House any day. Better food, better service at half the price.
I gave it three stars because the place looks...
Read moreOrdered scrambled eggs with cheese and sausage English muffin sandwich...And then I ask for a side of 2 bacon strips and a side of white toast. Lady comes back with a sandwich she mistakenly thought I ask for my English muffin to be substituted with white toast. that she gave me a full plate of bacon rather then the 2 strips of bacon I ask and also the eggs were not even fully scrambled. Being a server myself ik mistakes happen so I ask the server to resolve the issue this time im breaking it down to her so there is no issue then the the server says im wrong multiple times and says I meant to order this. if she's was a good server she would recommend something in the beginning before I put my order in. Of course that pisses me off because I been here multiple times and she giving me attitude for her mistake... and I never have issues when I order here. Once I got my reorder again she didn't again she completely ignored english muffin sandwich and gave me a plate with everything separated at that point I gave up with the server and just ask for the bill I didn't even eat inside because I already know something so simple would be a issue. Word of advice dont be constantly saying u didn't order that (when i did) just...
Read moreFirst time eating at Country House Restaurant and it’s truly a hidden gem! One of the best spots to get breakfast and lunch in Naples. Large menu selection with HUUGE meal portions for incredible prices! (Honestly forget IHOP, the waffles here are so large, light and fluffy and cooked to perfection🤤. Might I add that they top it with whip cream and lightly powder it with powdered sugar, with any choice of selected toppings!)
The staff and waitresses were all friendly and the food service was quick from kitchen to table! The food itself was fresh, hearty and honestly very delicious! The restaurant also offers drink specials on Sundays, so keep an eye out for that.
Very comfortable and friendly atmosphere, a great place to dine-in or eat outside and enjoy the weather on one of their picnic tables :)
P.s. The restaurant closes @ 2pm for anyone that wants to go get a bite, so head on over asap! Also, make sure to visit their social media. Great place for foodies like me 🤣Whoever runs them is also very kind (I misplaced my phone on the day i ate here, and they were more than happy to help me in my...
