We went here for my husband's daughter's wedding . The room was perfect. Not too small or big . Came with a microwave and fridge. Nice place . My only complaint was we had to go and ask the customer service to have the ladies clean our room . Meaning we needed more towels , for some reason they kepted skipping our room , then ! One of the ladies I'm sure by accident put shampoo in the conditioner bottle , so I washed my hair twice 😯 I had brought own things so I used mine instead . Other than that , Dave that ran the tiki bar by the pool was the nicest bar tender and attentive server in the entire place ! He made us laugh , and would talk to us and tell us about the hotel and just was an all around super fly guy ! He stayed open later for us , made our drinks super yummy! We were glad to have him most of the days we were there . Super great guy ! I recommend a raise for his superb job! We'd order from him and he'd serve us poolside, jacuzzi side , where ever u were sitting or enjoying yourself , he came over to you and took care of business with a huge smile and would make sure you were all set ! The best person in the place , and I hope he gets recognized for his compassion for his work. I'd like to see him get it in his paycheck . It's most deserving . Great people and help are hard to find . Dave deserves it ! 👏 🌴🏖🌞👍😁💌😇😘❤️ But we were frustrated with some of the front desk help , they didn't understand us and only made the situation frustrating . We met Priscilla and she seemed nice but she couldn't find our name for the extra day we booked the room for . We were part of the wedding party , so we had the room for 3days with the wedding venue , and we had to rebook the 4th night we were there , and they wouldn't accommodate the same discount as the 3days before. We weren't impressed by that at all, other than Priscilla trying to understand what we were trying to say , it did bother us that we had to keep asking when someone was gonna bring more towels and things. It was kinda frustrating cause the cleaning people were right there on our floor , ita like they skipped us on purpose, we told them and asked them for more , Danielise, one of the cleaning ladies cleaned our room before we got there. And I wanted new sheets at first, I found some marks , dirty marks on the sheets and nobody ever came to change them. Very frustrating . There should be employees there that can understand English, and if they can't, they need to have an interpretation there of some sort . When trying to check out and explain what's going on , they act like they know what you're saying. And they don't, sorry Priscilla, for being a manager that doesn't settle nicely with me . We had to leave cause our plane was gonna be taking off in less than couple of hours and still had to get to the car rental to drop off car .Easiring car rental is a joke don't ever use them ! They are another story , rude and don't care . Hoping the next time we come , we don't have such a difficult time explaining our concerns to the manager that didn't or couldn't understand what we were trying to say. She was only concerned about if we paid our bill or not . So that being said , it wasn't about how we enjoyed our stay . It was about if we paid for the room , our last night . NOT...
Read moreI booked a 3-night stay through travel website partner and after making the reservation, I called Holiday Inn to confirm my reservation, which they did. After arriving at the hotel, we were helped by a person-in-training (as shown on her ID badge) and she did not appear all too confident in checking us in. Also, when we asked for a late checkout time, she proceeded to ask us if we wanted it for the following day. Mind you, we had a 3-night reservation so why in the world would I need a late checkout time for the next day?? Talk about not using your brain. Anyway, we were given our room keys and proceeded to our room. Upon entering the room, it was fairly clean, BUT there was used lotion in the bathroom, passed off as new for us to use so that was disgusting. We called down for extra soap and new lotion. When we were given it, we were asked by that employee if we'll be checking out the next day. That gave us cause for concern so we went down to the front desk on the next day and asked them to confirm our 3-night stay and surprise, surprise, they couldn't find our reservation in their system! Mind you, our reservation was confirmed, they checked us in yesterday, and gave us valid, working room keys! So, now the front desk person, who was another person-in-training, did not speak English too well and did not know what she was doing, so she was playing the middle man for a little bit while speaking with a manager, whom she proceeded to contact over the phone. The manager never came out to personally address this situation, which led me to believe that she was working from home. After 15 minutes or so, the issue was finally resolved. But it left me with the feeling that my belongings could be removed from my room at any moment during the rest of my stay since I did not have the utmost confidence in this hotel's competence. Just imagine if I did not inquire about my reservation...my belongings could have been tossed out or even worse, the hotel might have called law enforcement to remove me from the property since I was technically not in their system and could have been labelled a trespasser. Lastly, several calls to the front desk went unanswered during my stay when I called from my room. Overall, the management of this hotel has not been up to the standards that I am accustomed to from over the many times I have stayed at other Holiday Inns, and it is seriously making me question any future stays with them. This particular location needs definite improvement re: management and...
Read moreI had reservations set but accidentally put the wrong date but didnt know it until I went to check in. When I went to check in they said you dont have reservations for today but for another date. They did not even want to help me with this situation and fix my reservation. The front desk refused and the manager was in the back talking and laughing with another staff and didnt want to help as well. It could have easily been fixed and they saw that i stayed there in the past. So i had to call and make reservations all over again while waiting in the lobby with the front desk refusing and the manager not helping but laughing and talking with another staff member. It was definitley rude and no one wanted to help especially in these times of covid. I am from miami and just wanted to get away for a night or two. Let it be known i am also law enforcement. After i had to call and make and fix my own reservation i checked in after another 10 15 mins. The room had a small smell to it and the toilet water was off and also was about to flood. I called the front desk and she said that I had to go and get the plunger which was like another red flag. She didnt even offer to bring up the plunger or have someone bring it to me. When i went downstairs to get the plunger the front desk was sitting out in the lobby on the couches where the guest sit with a male friend who def didnt look like a guest for a some hours and i know this because after i went down and got the plunger i went out for a little bit and when i came back her and her friend were still on the couch. I didnt want to say anything but just got an email about how my service was. Its def the little things that matter. First off its simple to make a mistake with a reservation and should have been simple to fix but front desk nor management did anything. I had to do everything my self. And then when my toilet had problems front staff did nothing and could have aat least had someone bring up the plunger. Two small situations that could have been easily handled. Its the...
