Read moreWe love this place - especially myself, I love spicy food. The food is good. Have never had any issues with service. And the atmosphere is good as well; not too certain what to mention there. I will, however, go into some details for anyone who hasn't eaten here & may be interested in trying them out. So, let's say you either really love spice or it's not really your thing. Many menu options come with a "pepper meter" on the side, and these indicate how spicy they can be; the options that lack these are generally on the more mild side regardless. Once you order, the waiter will ask how spicy you want things. Don't like spice? Go mild. If you're like me, and you're not having a good time unless you're regretting your life decisions? Go hot, baby. There's medium as well for anyone not terribly into either side. Also? Order some garlic Naan with your meal as a side. Don't question me. The menu is set up nicely, each item having a good description of what you'll likely be getting into. They also have a code on the side, like "V-4" for vegetarian option 4, if you'd rather not try to pronounce the item. As well, yes, extensive vegetarian options. Chicken, lamb, goat for others. Finally? I haven't really perused the alcohol too much; I'm peculiar in that I only really like sweeter drinks. My boyfriend ordered their Taj Mahal, though; really decent sized bottle for $10. Like, that's a good bargain compared to most places. And it seems they serve most of them with a chilled mug. I'm not too certain what else to say beyond that, yeah, I'm quite pleased...
Read moreI just visited Curry and Kabab today, and all I have to say is, "Wow!" This is the first time that I have visited this restaurant. I was going to go to my nearby favorite Mexican restaurant, where I know the food is delicious, but I thought that I should be more adventurous. If I didn't like this restaurant, then, oh well, I just wasted one meal. But if I really liked this Indian restaurant, then I found a new favorite Indian restaurant. I found a new favorite Indian restaurant.
The restaurant is in a small strip mall that has seen better days. Even this restaurant is non-descript on the outside. But I compare it to a non-descript oyster that has a very beautiful pearl on the inside. This place is a gem! The price for the lunch buffet is a very reasonable $9.99. Considering that I had three full plates of food to eat, I would say that I got my money's worth. I saw some business people here, so I guess the word is out about this place.
The atmosphere is welcoming on the inside. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was displayed in hot warmers. I tried everything, and everything was delicious. They have six curries, if I remember correctly. All were very good. They have vegetarian selections as well as meat/poultry selections. I really liked their Naan bread with the different curry sauces. After getting full--and getting my money's worth--I tried their rice pudding for dessert. It was very good. They also give you free refills on their sodas.
It was a very fine dining experience!
