Last month my wife and I took a trip from Orlando to play all 3 rooms at The Escape Ventures- Port Charlotte location. We have played all their rooms at the Orlando location previously and loved all 5 rooms they created, so naturally we just HAD to make the time to play their new rooms! Just when we thought “how could they get any better?”, they created these 3 rooms which raised the bar on escape room venues! Their rooms are immersive- truly transporting you into a new setting, highly detailed set designs and each room had puzzles that were satisfying to solve and offered several levels of difficulty for all members of your group to have fun and enjoy.
This location has their own parking, lobby and restroom are super clean, and the team is very welcoming.
We played all 3 games in this sequence, which I suggest if you are going to play all 3 in one day: We started with Phantom Files:The Investigation of Lockturne Manor which was fun, spooky good time! From walking in to this room, we were shook, the set design and use of space was well thought out and very detailed. It is truly special when a team can combine great innovative puzzles with a great set. We were highly satisfied! Our game master was Shad, who was fantastic! He was very energetic and was fully committed to his role in the story. This game also had special effects that we were not expecting, but was very different then any other rooms were have played before! We loved playing this room and it gave us “scooby doo/ghostbusters” vibes!
Next, we played Click ‘N Glitch: For this game, we were paired with Game master Devin- he was hysterical and make us laugh throughout the game! He did a great job making the story feel real! This room gave me “stranger things” era vibes and i loved the storyline! The set design of this room was fantastic, it really felt like an arcade, inside and out! I loved all the lights, colors, props, and how the puzzles were intertwined with the set. Definitely a game to not miss!
We saved their newest game “Nightfall: Creature at Camp Deadwood” for last. Let me tell you, after playing the previous 2 rooms we didn’t think it could get any better… but this room took the cake and was my favorite of all 3! The setting, scenic design, lighting, sound effects and props used were high quality and it truly makes you feel as though you went to visit Camp Deadwood. Talk about an immersive scene! This is their most suspenseful room to me, but I loved every second of our experience! Shad was our game master for this room, and boy did he commit to his role! He killed it! There was a particular part that his character was hilarious and made us both laugh out loud! If you are visiting TEV’s Port Charlotte location and only have time to play 1 room- this is it! (But why wouldn’t you want to play all 3, right?) I truly believe this is their best game to date and cannot wait to see what they come up with next!!
Taking the time to play all three of their rooms in one day was such a great decision and was the most exciting time! I HIGHLY recommend The Escape Ventures for your next escape...
Read moreAmazing and Fun!!!! We had so much fun at Escape Ventures in Port Charlotte!! We had a birthday celebration group of 5 young kids ages 11 to 12 and an adult who played the phantom files escape room per their suggestion. The difficulty of the puzzles varied per room and were hands down AMAZING. Alex was our in room guide/ host and stayed in character and made things extremely fun. We could have as little or as many hints as we needed. The props and room sets / decorations were done very well. I was proud of my young little adventurers figured out puzzles from clues faster than I imagined would happen. The kids had a few moments of startles but would laugh it off and at the end and actually escaping the final room with 12 seconds to spare everyone cheered with screamed with laughter. I would highly recommend going if you have done an escape room before or if you haven’t! The crew were all so friendly and made the experience one to not forget. My daughter talked about the experience and the puzzles and rooms for an hour after we got home! All in all highly recommend for adults and kids that don’t mind lights going out smoke and loud noises.
Again it’s all about the experience and we...
Read moreMy husband and I had a great experience here today. We called yesterday to book all 3 rooms for today and Erin not only made sure we had a schedule that worked for us, but recommended a room progression that ended up working really well for us! We started with Phantom Files with Blake - a great room with lots of fun and logical puzzles. Click and Glitch with Jake came next - this is the room we came for and it didn’t disappoint - great room design, puzzles, and immersive in unexpected ways (one moment we both ended up feeling just like the middle schoolers we were supposed to be in the game). We finished with Nightfall, again with Blake - what a great room! Blake really shined as Ranger Rob - truly all of the actor driven elements were well done and added to the experience. Both Blake and Jake leaned into their roles and made the experience all the more enjoyable. Actor driven games can go one of two ways, and consistently Escape Ventures does it...
