The owner Chris got mad when I asked to weigh the gold before and after resizing. I just left a 5 star review a few days ago after spending $4100 on a 53g 14k cuban bracelet (His mother sold it to me and she was very nice). However, when I came back 2 days later to resize the bracelet (since it was a bit too big) I asked Chris if he can "weigh it before and after for peace of mind". He took that personally and got very upset and defensive. I told him "I meant no offense in that question". To which he replied "I took offense". I would have requested it to be weighed regardless of where I went, him taking it personally and getting offended was not only unprofessional but also very concerning. As a customer even I understand the importance of being diligent with gold weight. As a jeweler that should be his standard protocol, but even if it isn't, he shouldn't have been offended by this standard request. We stopped in to get some of our family jewelry appraised, but after my girlfriend met Christie and she started walking us through what our options were for an engagement ring and what they could do to customize one for our us we decided to stay and just design the ring that day. Christie and Chris originally told us it would be about 2 weeks to get it all taken care of. Imagine my surprise when Christie texted me a week later with a picture of the finished engagement ring!
