A beautiful atmosphere and friendly staff. Sits right by the water under a tiki hut behind the marina. A great gem of a place but....as a local, unfortunately it is also a seasonal spot for out-of-towners. We went on Sunday for a 2:00 lunch. Parking is very limited, at a prime. Wait time for a table this visit was 1 hr and 45 min. Since we were a party if 3 we figured since we came all this way that we would stay. Ended up being seated after 45 mins. A reggea band was performing and they seated us near the stage. The band was very loud and we were not able to carry on a conversation without yelling to one another. Same when it came to ordering our meal, the waitress was having a hard time hearing our orders. We waited 40 mins for our food. I ordered a $13.95 salad and was very disappointed when it came to the table. It was more of a side salad. It was delish but was more expensive than the burger and fries and the Ruben and fries that were also ordered at our table. The salad was extremely overpriced. I've eaten there before but will be waiting until the hot steamy summer days to go back...
Read moreThe Promenades Mall isn’t as exciting a place to shop as it once was. The Winn-Dixie located here is probably the best and biggest store at the Promenades mall. They have great produce, freshly cooked/cut meats, and a lot to choose from in the fresh fruit section you can't always get from just any grocery store, and at that high standard. Besides the fresh food and bakery sections, you can get almost any item you want. Some things are overpriced compared to other grocery stores, but pretty much make up for that in quality. Sadly, the beauty section is definitely scarce and shares the same aisle with feminine products, men’s razors, and baby products. Many aisles seem just smashed together; sometimes out of order or bare. I’m definitely not fond of their dollar section although you can find few interesting items; most look outdated and old. Although Winn-Dixie doesn’t have the same charm as it once did since the “Super Centers” took center stage, It still Has carved out its own niche when it comes to outstanding produce, fresh foods, salad bars, delis, and the very famous...
Read moreI have shopped at this store for over 20 yrs and love its convenience being close to my home, but after a recent visit, I will be driving the extra mile to go elsewhere. I was making my purchases at the self check out a few mins before they closed, and a male manager was seated at the tables across from the registers at the time. I cut my finger on a sharp metal edge of the surface where you set your items to be scanned. I was bleeding pretty heavily to the point where my pants and the money I was holding both had blood on them. I was freaked out cuz I didn't realize I had hurt myself and tried getting the man's attention to get help. I had made at least 3 attempts but still the man never moved or said a word while he sat less than 15 feet away. Finally, a young cashier ran to get some paper towels and bandaids. What kind of person treats another human being in such a way?? I wonder what their standard practice is when a customer in their store is noticeably bleeding and asking for help? Who knows maybe he was following winn dixie protocol... I just can not believe what...
