Curry Mango, by the name alone, just sounds like a cool place- and when you see how it looks on the outside this consideration is only furthered. So, I was of course excited to try it out and see if the food matches the hype. I also love Indian food, it’s one of my favorite ethnic foods so there was little reason not to look forward to it. The first time I tried Curry Mango, we took a togo order. I got the lamb tikka masala, and it was disappointing, that’s all I can say. I’ve had Indian quite a bit, as I said it’s one of my favorites, and this particular rinks masala just didn’t taste right. Along with this, the lamb itself had a lot of fat in it, so I felt like I was eating more fat than lean meat and it was actually really disgusting. But, I thought maybe either they just had a bad night or I was overreacting. So I didn’t want to jump the gun on my overall opinion of CM. Next time, I dined in for dinner with my friend. I decided not to get the tikka masala because I was too nervous from the first time. So, indeed I tried the Mango Chicken Curry, and I’ll give props it was really good! The sweet mango and the spice of the curry was super unique even for an Indian dish and I actually loved it. My friend did try the tikka masala, though. And I tried a bite just to see how it compared and it tasted off to me again. And she agreed too, this tikka masala was just not good. If you go here I’d definitely recommend the mango chicken curry! I guess take your chances on the tikka masala but after two times of it going wrong I certainly won’t. The service here is okay, it’s all men and some of them are nice but a lot of them lack a personality and it’s almost a little awkward when they serve you. In normal times they do have a buffet, thought I’m not sure if covid is messing with that right now. If I go again and find out I’ll update this, but so far I haven’t found anywhere saying if it’s open or closed.

Lakeland, FL. My daughter was so excited to share this new find with me. She’s going to a Sikh wedding soon and she and her friends have been trying different places with South Indian cuisine. She knew I’ve always loved it so this was great for our mother daughter time. The chicken korma here is her favorite. It had a delicately layered sauce that was so good. She also ordered garlic naan to share. I had the tandoori kebab mix: popular chicken tikka, chicken malal with cashew nut paste, and hariyali chicken marinated in a mint yogurt sauce. Accompanied by potatoes, onions and bell peppers they came on a sizzling plate, a very impressive presentation. Portions were plentiful and everything was perfectly seasoned. It’s a great date spot and has seating for large groups as well. The high ceilings, natural wood and beautiful large photographs add to the warmth and cheer. Bhangra music videos play from the bar area tv and lots of other large screen tvs show a variety of other American programs. It’s a large restaurant with a buffet set up for lunch Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Several of the staff worked as a gracious, happy team in serving us. Ebin was our main server and he was extremely friendly. Everyone checked on us more than once and were so nice. We truly enjoyed our time there and highly recommend this small business.

Excellent Indian food! We went for dinner on a Sunday. They were pretty busy, with two somewhat large birthday parties going on, but we were seated right away and offered a complimentary relish assortment and crisps. They were all very good. We also ordered garlic naan to enjoy with the relish tray. For entrees we had Butter Chicken, Shrimp Korma, and Lamb Sag. Everything was delicious. I especially liked the Lamb Sag, as the pieces of lamb were cooked perfectly and had a great taste. The spinach cream sauce was also delicious! The Shrimp Korma is my go-to Indian dish, and it was very good. We also got another order of garlic naan to eat with the sauces from the entrees. Everything was reasonably priced, and the service was good, with many different people coming by the table to make sure we had everything we needed. During the meal they brought out dessert for one of the birthdays, and they did an excellent job of singing, with the servers holding sparklers and using noise makers. Judging by that, it would be a great place to celebrate a birthday! I've been here for the lunch buffet before, too, which is also great, and gives a chance for you to try many different dishes for a very reasonable price. They now offer the buffet F-Su from 11-2:30.

Having recently dined at Curry Mango, I have a mixed impression to share. Let's start with the positives. The food was indeed warm and clean, which is always a relief when dining out. However, the comfort level of the seats left much to be desired. They seemed to lack adequate cushioning, making for a less-than-pleasant seating experience.

Moreover, the tables at Curry Mango are on the smaller side. It became evident when just after receiving two items, the table space felt insufficient for accommodating plates and utensils comfortably. This can be quite inconvenient, especially during a meal.

Service at Curry Mango could use improvement. While the staff seemed friendly enough, there were noticeable lapses in attention. It often took longer than expected to get their attention or to receive orders.

One notable aspect of Curry Mango is its target clientele. It appears that the restaurant is not primarily catering to Indian customers, which might be a refreshing change for some. For those seeking a different culinary experience, this could be a viable option.

However, based on my experience, I would hesitate to recommend Curry Mango to fellow Indians or Pakistanis. The overall dining experience fell short of expectations in several aspects. While it might appeal to non-Indian customers, for those familiar with authentic South Asian cuisine, it may not quite hit the mark.

In conclusion, while Curry Mango offers warm and clean food in an environment targeting non-Indian customers, its discomforting seating, limited table space, and service issues detract from the overall dining experience. Therefore, I would advise exploring other options for those seeking authentic Indian or...

This restaurant was my 1st experience with Indian cuisine. It was so great that I never tried any other restaurant, even though it's a 45- 50 minute drive on a good day. Great Food, Exceptional Service, every time. I'm leaving this review so that is stays that way. My recent visit was not what I have come to expect when dining here. After water was served, a drink from the bar was ordered. It had to be ordered 4 times before we actually received it. Not once did anyone come to refill beverages during our entire time there, 1.5 hours. Luckily, I had a bottle of water in my bag. An appetizer was left off of our order and we didn't realize it until entrees came out. It was not brought out or even spoken of again. We had to request everything 2 and 3 times before receiving it. I'm not sure who our server was, because at least 3 people came to bring us things and often not what we had already requested. I had to get up and get extra napkins myself, request the check twice, take out dishes twice, extra sauce, just everything. The food was as delicious as it always is, and the portions were plentiful, but we were dining with friends that had never had Indian food, and unlike our 1st experience, the server was not as helpful or as we fumbled through the menu. I wish that they could have received the service I expected to justify their 55 minute drive and the reason that I chose this restaurant for us. The servers were nice and friendly, but I can't get beyond that high of a level of incompetence and neglectful service. I will give them another chance eventually, even though it wasn't busy at all, maybe it wasn't a good night for other reasons, but not before checking out some...
