My husband passes this Mom and Popâs style Deli every day on his way to work. Since he had a rain day today, he took me to buy some take out for the fam. We ordered a Philly Cheesesteak, a Ham and 2 Turkey Footlong Hoagies. We were in tastebud heaven!! Not only were the hoagie rolls fresh, theyâre real sub rolls like youâd expect from NJ or NY, WOWOWOW factor!! Theyâre packed with a meat of your choice and many toppings to choose from including marinated sweet peppers, they even had crushed red peppers which have been hard to find at any sandwich places weâve gone to!! Our hoagies were so delicious and made in record time. The owner was so sweet, kind and professional!! We canât wait to order from this establishment again, it will definitely be our go to for hoagies, freshly made salads and deli meats to go or they also deliver!! Thank you Donnellyâs, definitely a 5 star âď¸ rating from the Ayen Family, GREAT SERVICE, GREAT PRICES &...
Read moreNot usually one to go leave a review but I just had to in this circumstance. Absolutely terrible service. The owner and what seemed like his son were so vulgar and rude to the point where they were yelling at me with an attitude when I simply inquired about the price because it was different than reflected online. Between the employees who are seemingly on drugs (there is simply no other explanation for their behavior), the raise in prices with no explanation or receipt provided (when asked for a breakdown the yelling began), and the food that left the family sick today, Donnellys, a once very loved place in Hernando for years, has nose dived down hill. We will definitely not be returning and I advise you consider a nice pub sub...
Read moreA childhood favorite destroyed. I was raised in Spring Hill and grew up on Donnellyâs. My family would go there at least once per week for over 20 years. I am a graduate of Springstead, and used to be proud to call the area home.
Sadly I recently went in for a sandwich and was shocked with the rude customer service, and the lack of face masks from everyone in the store (staff and customers). I wondered what was up when the entire world was wearing masks, especially in restaurants/delis. I then looked over and saw the Trump calendar and noticed the entire staff wearing flea market Trump apparel. A deli is not the place to push your political views and safety guidelines should not be ignored when handling food (and this is coming from a fellow Republican).
And then to top it off the place was filthy and only accepts cash. WT actual...
