Firehouse Subs Ft. Myers — Restaurant in Florida

I’ve been coming here once a week or so for a couple of years but my visit last week was crazy. I should have known something was up when there was such a long line and I didn’t recognize anyone behind the counter. After ordering to-go I sat down for 15 and never heard my name so I went up to the counter. I asked if maybe my order was forgotten and the worker said “I just got here you’ll have to ask someone else”. So I asked the person next to them who looked down and found a sub with a receipt with my name on it just sitting there. It had been sitting there for a while as I saw them being that sandwich out to someone and ask if they were “Ryan” while the person said they were “Bryan” I told them I didn’t want an old sub they had handed to someone else and was told I’d have to wait until they made other people’s meals. I told them to just give me a refund and was directed to the register. When I got to the register I was told I had to wait for everyone in line to order before they could refund me. I ended up just walking out and will dispute the charge. As I was leaving they had about 5 subs worth of ingredients and they didn’t know who they belonged to. Looked like a...

I don't know about you but it seems like every time I go to the grocery store it's like playing parking lot roulette! Looking for a parking space, do I wait, they got in their car? It's a toss-up. Are they going to actually pull out, or will they sit there? What will they do, read their receipt? open a bag of snacks? Or will they just throw their car in reverse and zoom backward without looking nearly squashing a family walking behind and barely missing my car as I give up on waiting. It always seems like the latter!

The worst experience in our Florida vacation. We went there at about 3 pm with the idea of having a quick snack that would enable us to travel further to Naples. We ordered after waiting in line. Then the lady at the counter said the food would be brought to the table. We waited another 15 minutes. Then we asked for it. The lady said it was just being made. Another 10 minutes later we asked again and the lady finally told us that at the moment they would have problems with their system and couldn't handle any order but they were hoping to have that fixed soon. So when they took our order they already knew that they wouldn't be able to handle it. But they let us wait and ask two times before they told us. Such a waste of time is incredible.
