Okay for first off, our waitress, 💙🦋Lexie🦋💙, is a straight up deeeee-light! She’s attentive, welcoming, sweet, prompt, and a very fun gal to chat with! She gave us excellent recommendations on the menu, and also laid out some ideas for interesting places ‘round town to check out during our visit. Ps, Love your style, girl! Each of the great folks who run this restaurant bring their own flair to their already cool garage inspired uniforms, but dang, were your nails fierce!
Impossible burgers are the plant based burger option they fix here, so it’s the closest you can get to a classic ones if meat ain’t your thing. Solid choice, y’all! The supper I enjoyed was a veggie burger with arugula, red onion roumelade, onion straws, and Gruyère cheese (sans the bacon aioli). Onion rings on the side, and of course I mixed Lousiana hot sauce & ranch to dunk ‘em in, hahah. It was an indulgent treat. They have some delish “mocktail” options, and I was very happy to sip on the “margarita” one. My sweetheart enjoyed their brisket sammy, French fries, and some tomato soup- a well rounded savory spread! Mr.Tim, please take 💙🦋 Lexie’s🦋💙 advice to serve the soup with those little oyster crackers, they’d add a nice crunch ;). I’m sure that creative gal’s got some other good ideas up her sleeve.
I joke about this sometimes, but as someone who’s worked in the Service industry for a looong time, it’s apparent to me when someone cares enough to go above and beyond in making an experience fabulous, and surpasses the standards of an establishment to make it truly excellent. 💙🦋Lexie🦋💙 absolutely excels in her role, and deserves recognition (like a pay bump and vacay, for real! That always makes me feel valued by my employers, so I seem to joke about it, but am serious about this as a way to appreciate your worker bees.)
This restaurant’s décor is like a blast from the past; everything is so well thought out and clever, which makes the atmosphere unique and quite eye-catching. From the vintage Ford buggies and fuel station out front, the (clean!) shop-rag napkins fastened with real hose-clamps, the bathroom’s tire sinks, gas pump door handles, cute lil’ flags with the seared-in brand topping my bun, to the actual vehicle hoisted up on a lift above the bar, it’s a gear- head’s dream of a themed spot to eat. I adored it.
Our entire experience here was stellar, and I’m so so stoked to come chomp some more of the treats on your unique (pun- filled) menu. Y’all are fantastic! Thanx for makin’ our date night one for the books!
(We had planned on coming back on Sunday during her weekend shift to try other enticing dishes, but I caught the flu & had a date with Mr.Tylenol PM instead 😅😬😵💫. Sorry to let you down, hon, I was stoked to talk with you about the Butterfly Gardens again! But we’ll definitely be returning, and I really anticipate seeing ya then! Thanx for...
Read moreWe saw this restaurant from the highway. It caught my eye because I thought it was another car lot for a second until I saw their sign said something about burgers.
Since we had to burn some time before checking into our hotel my husband and I decided it would be a great place for a long lunch.
We hit them right before happy hour which was somewhat surprising since they had a pretty good crowd anyhow.
It being our first time we asked the waiter for some recommendations and even though he was only on his second day working there, Tyler's suggestions were perfect!
My husband had the smokehouse special Sweet Heat Burger with French Fries. His hamburger was cooked perfectly, very melt in your mouth barbeque. He didn't get much from the lettuce but he didn't get it for the lettuce. The bun was toasted so it didn't get soggy from the sauce which was perfectly doused on the burger. The jalapenos were very fresh and crisp. The heat was nice in that it hit you right away with a slow build to a perfect point where it maintained for the duration of the burgers existence. The fries were abundant and nicely crisp with a perfectly salted flavor.
I had the Bison Bacon Burger with Sweet Tater Tots. The hamburger was perfectly cooked, the bacon was thick cut and we'll done, the balance of the tangy arugula and the sweet and spicy sauce complimented the bison meat incredibly well.
The Sweet Tater Tots we're better than Sweet Potato French Fries and totally worth the extra cost. The Tots we're sweet and creamy in the inside and salty and crispy on the outside bringing a multilayered experience to our meal.
The ambience was unique, it was classy with a relaxed atmosphere. Decorated with classic cars, custom touches throughout like the oil funnels for the onion ring appetizer, the clean shop rags rolled and held together with adjustable hose clamps for napkins, gas handles on the doors, tire sinks, keg urinals, engine posts caps, and mechanic uniforms for the waiters gave plenty of interesting things to look at.
Overall, an extraordinary experience whether your a car lover or not. But the attention to details and the Four Model-T's made it a fantastically over the...
Read moreWe were in town for a few days visiting from Georgia and decided to stop in here for dinner on our last night because it was right by the Holiday Inn where we were staying. This was a really cool restaurant. I loved the whole atmosphere of it. Everything was garage themed, from the old time cars out front and above the bar inside to the shop towels and hose clamps around the silverware. The food was really good too. We got the pulled pork nachos as an appetizer. It could have used more pork but besides that it was really good. Their burgers were delicious. I got the build your own burger and my husband got the estate burger. My daughter got the monte carlo, she had never had one before and she said it was good but also tasted a little odd, kind of like eating a sandwich on a donut. My youngest daughter (14) has a sensory processing disorder and it makes it very difficult to go out to eat because there's very few things that she will eat. Tonight she was in the mood for steak and the only steak on the menu was a new steak and mashed potato bowl. It had the steak cut up on top of the mashed potatoes and topped with a mushroom gravy and crispy fried onions. My daughter won't eat mushroom gravy, fried onions or mashed potatoes if they have skin in them which these did according to their menu. So they had to completely remake their new menu item. The waitress had to ask if they could do that and luckily they could. So they made the steak plain and put a side of mac n cheese with it. She said it was good but the steak could use a little more flavor, maybe some garlic butter or something. Which I'm sure if she had gotten it as it was meant to be prepared it would have been fine. But she still said it was good and ate the whole thing. There were a lot of things on the menu that looked good and I would definitely come back and try this place again when we're...
