Frankie's Pizza...what a name! I love it...it exemplifies what pizza-making at this CBS one room joint is all about. THE PIZZA!!!
Being from Niagara Falls, NY originally, and having traveled to many places here and abroad, this is the closest I have ever come to my hometown's remarkable style of pizza. Tray pizza.
The staff is always in a hurry to keep up with the pace of the orders - but never TOO much of a hurry to stop and advise you on the best way to order your pizza whether it is to consume there, take-out or eat it at a later date so you get the half-baked version to make later - 10-15 minutes at about 400 degrees and you're golden.
As for my pizza? I am a purist and go for the pepperoni pizza - well-done because I love the small diameter pepperoni to have a nice char on the edges and start to curl...the crust, which for me makes or breaks any pizza, is sublime in it's simplicity...watch them make the dough. two or three ingredients and nothing else...
Is Frankie's a bit pricey? I think so. But, it is oh so worth it, in my humble opinion. One slice, plain, will be $1.50...and anything after that will just be a multiple of %1.50...no price break at Frankie's.
The sauce, the cheese, the crust (MARON!!) and the ingredients all add up to the best pie, for my money, in Miami.
It's only 07:35 in the morning - if I could, I would go get one now that I got myself all worked up writing this review...Mama mia!
I can't attest to any other Frankie's fare, since for me, the best cheese steak sub is from Viola's on Elmwood Ave in Niagara Falls, NY...maybe someday, I will break down and try one of Frankie's...until then, pizza only will have to suffice.
Tutti a la tavoli - mangia mangia!!!

Read moreI’m never eating here again. Not only has the pizza lost its flavor, but at least the one my husband & I ordered, it was soggy with light on the sauce & just no flavor as I said. But additional to that, it super unhygienic. If you observe, there’s a young guy there with light eyes & light hair that starts preparing them by spreading the sauce & cheese & then cuts them into square! Well that kid on top of the fact that you can tell he hates his job & doesn’t care for it, because I saw his boss tell him over & over how he’s adding a little bit of sauce to the pizzas & that he needs to add more, & you can see how he just throws the sauce in there & cheese like he doesn’t care making a mess, well he doesn’t use gloves to prepare these pizzas. & best of all I saw him With his headsets on listening to music. But what gross me out was that he put the mouth piece of it in his mouth with his hands, & then brought it right back out again with his hands which means saliva pizza with no gloves. Great. It’s very Gross. Don’t waste your money here. There’s a bunch of other great pizzas in Miami that are more tasteful & definitely...
