GarVino's Cigars, Fine Wine & Gifts — Restaurant in Florida

Made a point to visit this shop and drove 2 hours to do so. First red flag was seeing no ashtrays in the wine bar, meaning no smoking there. A well stocked gift shop had more wine paraphernalia than cigar items however there were 2 humidors plus a well stocked walk-in one. I wasn’t greeted or offered help as I was trying to figure out just where I was supposed to smoke. The good sized porch only had 2 chairs, although there was ample room for more. When I asked, the cashier showed me the small smoking lounge which had seats for 8. 2 were taken by non smokers, however, smokers can’t sit in a non-smoking area. Live music was happening but I couldn’t hear it inside the lounge nor after I went outside to the porch. I feel like the cigar lounge is lacking because the wine bar is more acceptable, and that seemed to be where people wanted to be. The one good thing was that despite the upper-class area GarVinos is located, prices were lower than expected on the cigars I’m familiar with. We came from California and here we are in another coast and was looking for our favorite wine, Austin Hope from Paso Robles, didn't expect there would be any since this is a small winery thus their availability is not a lot. But there it is plus a few on the shelves, so we bought one, a 2018 cab which they were all sold out in Cali so we were elated and expected to pay a a price for that and would be happy to do so since we were visiting my Mom and Dad and want them to try what we loved.

Check out time and what a nice surprise, price is very compatible so how awesome is that. Now I bought these all the time at Costco, if they have some, and also Total Wine and more so I know what they usually go for, but here I am in sunny Florida got my favorite red, going to have a glass or two with my parents tonight for dinner and paying a fair price for it, what more could one ask.

If you’re looking for a great cigar lounge or a wine bar definitely give these guys a visit. I regularly go there and smoke in the lounge. Fred is the go to guy if you want to try something new he will take the time to find out what you like and give you a few suggestions. The ladies at the bar are all friendly and always have a good time with the guys in the lounge. I’ve been to live music there and that a nice small venue with many different local musicians that come in and play on Thursday Friday and Saturday. Well stocked and diverse humidor and they even have a small area for gifts to purchase. I go there pretty regularly and have always had a good time and enjoyed it. Plenty of parking. They also occasionally have Cigar events that they bring in a certain brand and have giveaways and prize drawing as well. Overall just a...
