hi there, this as an employee review. I started working here 5 days ago, and I got fired not even working here for a week. I was told to do the to go orders, and do miscellaneous tasks like prep salads for dine in and to go, same for the miso soups. I was told my “personality “ didn’t fit their criteria. I did everything they asked, just need to study the menu more, and get to know the sushi to better tag them. i even started writing down combos from the menu to study at home, the husband to the restaurant owner even defended me saying it was good that I was writing it down only to get yelled at by the owner (his wife.) I was told it was not about learning the menu, it was to just knowing how to do it. I’m sorry but you can’t expect someone to learn the entire menu within not even a week. don‘t hire someone if you don’t expect to properly train them.
As far as the restaurant and staff itself I would highly recommend not to work here let alone eat here unless you’re getting to go, cause the ambiance here is horrible. owners and employees kids roaming around bothering the staff, and customers even. The owners and employees smoke in the kitchen, whilst cooking food. it was a horrible experience for me, I was nothing but kind, and even helped the other employees with their tasks to ease the stress off of them. My time, and hard work apparently isn’t good enough.
Just word of advice to save anyone who is to want a job DON’T WORK HERE!! Plain and simple. This concludes my review, you just lost a good employer and customer. I have Value, and don’t need to waste my time. I wish I could rate this place a 0 cause it doesn’t even deserve a 1...
Read moreAlright, this is going to be a super gushy review but... Ive been coming here regularly to get my sushi kick for over a year, maybe more. I just cant stop coming back. Heres what touches my heart about this place. I've struggled with health complications and eating disorders for almost 10 years. Its a rough battle but I've learned to hold on to the little things that make me feel happiness and peace. This place really knows how to do it. Immediately when I walk in, I'm met with warm greetings. Every single employee there is filled with so much love for what they do, regardless of anything they might deal with in life on the side. Always warm and welcoming. They take my order and today we even got to chat until it was ready, which was insanely fast even for an order of 2 simple JB Rolls, my regular order. They hand it to me and I start eating it the minute I get back into my car. This is a comfort food for me in every way. From the friendly and homey atmosphere to the fresh ingredients that are always easy on my tummy. Down to the smile on the employees faces. I hope you guys know what you do might seem small when it comes to impact on customers lives but the impact has been the equivalent of a warm hug on a lonely day for me. GO...
Read moreFirst time coming here but definitely won't be the last. We ordered an appetizer of agedashi tofu. It was fried perfectly and the ponzu to dip with was delicious .I only wish the bonito flakes were smaller duo they wouldn't fall off the tofu so easily. For my meal I ordered Nabeyaki Udon. It was absolutely wonderful. The broth was very light but flavorful. It was slightly sweet, much like shrimp, which went well with all the toppings. The noodles were cooking perfectly, still a little chewy. The portion was more than enough for me with the appetizer. We also ordered a sweet potato roll, which is one of my favorites. It was the item I enjoyed the least though. Normally, for me, it is served drizzled with sauce on top. This roll did not have any sauce on it though. However, the sweet potato was cooked perfectly and had a much thicker batter on it than I'm used to, which I enjoyed. It was also still very much warm when it was served to us. Overall, I will definitely be coming back. The menu is small but it everything seems to be done very well. Cannot wait to try other...
