After waiting months for this to open, finally had the chance to go. Hotpots and KBBQ are two of my favorites things to eat and enjoy, so having a place so closer to where i live, its amazing especially when it comes to KBBQ which there are not many around the area.
I have very mixed feelings and slight disappointment.
Place is very nice, clean, bright and spacious. They are a revolving style restaurant so thats a cool feature always.
All you can eat for $31.99 Hotpot or KBBQ Both add $5.99 plus the price for drinks and tip, you do the math. The sauce bar is a 10/10 love the option of the mince garlic but not dry almost saucy, same with the ginger. Their garlic sauce was delicious and the chili oil nice and spicy but not a kill your tastebuds which is good.
The buffet area and broth is where i have mixed feelings, if you go for KBBQ you’re winning but it comes to the Hotpot is slightly disappointing. There are not many vegetables options apart from various mushrooms, proteins you do have a good variety in seafood and meats.
The broth was a huge let down, I ordered the Pork Bone broth and it had little to no flavor. It needed more depth, richness, salty, more enhanced flavor. My fiance the mushrooms broth and it was the same situation. The options in the revolving feature are not many and they are in the buffet basically.
Service was 3/10 server looked lost, she like stood a the table without saying while read the menu.
My fiance and I eat hotpot 2-3 times a month, and we have tried various restaurants at this point in just two years. We have our favorite and i have to compare it.
Honest opinion, i think is a little overpriced. I go to two places that offer Hotpot/KBBQ and they are $27 plus $4.99 and the options are more. You get your moneys worth. My monthly hotpot is $31 per person and the buffet is bigger and the flavor, plus the homemade items they offer.
I’ll be back, but it will be for the BBQ cause i know that side is worth it.
Give the place a chance, try it for yourself. I know they are very new and that’s why i do this long review, especially as a...
Read moreMy experience at this place was unfortunately tainted. I grew up in Miami with tons of great Asian culture and food and this place was disappointing. The atmosphere was awkward. The hot pot (mushroom) lacked flavor. The protein and especially seafood was questionable on how fresh it was. When I spoke with my waiter (Frank) in regards to my concerns, his outburst caused a scene and made me very uncomfortable when I tried to speak calmly and quietly. I did not ask for a full refund or anything, I simply asked what could be done as my partner and I both did not enjoy our experience. We asked for a manger after he yelled at me and the manager came over and essentially told us all of the seafood is fresh and took off $8 off of what would have been an $80 bill without tip or tax. I will say the manager had a somewhat lovely demeanor and was a lot nicer than staff. I wish I would have read the reviews, safe to say I won’t be coming back to this place, no hate just truth. Thanks...
Read moreI loved checking this place out with my wife. Our server was super nice, informative and enthusiastic about everything. Definitely recommend sitting side by side if you plan on sharing though. One person by the magnetic rotating topping and noodle belt. And then having the grill in the center of the table because sitting across the big table made sharing a little bit difficult. I really enjoyed the sauce bar. Make your own mixture of dipping sauces to your liking with lots of combinations and suggestions posted up. We both upgraded to hot pot + BBQ for the $5or $7 extra whatever it was. Worth it but go hungry. Lots of shaved meats, marinated meats, seafood, vegetables and dumplings to choose from. We went between lunch and dinner so we had the place basically to ourselves and the server was on top of everything. Already wanting to go again soon. The desserts were light and delicious and they had individual ice cream cups in a freezer towards the front bar in...
