The service was fine. On our particular visit there was a slight issue with an inaccurate order, but they fixed it and offered us the additional pizza as well which was fine with me. I don't blame a restaurant for a small mistake like that as long as they make it right, and they did. The problem that I had was with the quality of the pizza, and the funny thing to me is that it was due to such an incredibly obvious problem with a very easy fix. The pizza crust was incredibly soggy, and the reason was because they put a very hot pizza on a solid metal pan. Hot pizza plus cold metal equals condensation. In this case a lot of it. All that steam had nowhere to go. The simple act of switching to slotted pans would easily fix the problem. There are probably other ways to accomplish it as well, but that's at least one quick way to stop the condensation and steam from turning the crust to mush. My other problem was with the sauce. Personally, I thought that the sauce lacked flavor. I think it was in desperate need of a bit of salt to bring out the flavor of the tomatoes. It was really bland in my opinion, and the others in my party agreed. If it were just the sauce that was a problem It would have been okay, but combined with the crust It was just not good eats. It was a pleasant experience, but just not a pleasant meal. Everyone ate it, but it was just... It was food. That's about all I can say for it, and it's supposed to be really good quality brick oven pizza. Two easy fixes could completely change it though. A dash of salt for the sauce and keeping the steam and condensation away...

Grimaldi's Pizzeria, Cleveland Ave., Ft. Myers, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.
I came here because they are one of the few places that give you a ENTIRE FREE MEAL. If you sign up for the e mail club you get a free 1 topping 16 inch pizza on your birthday, Dine in only.
I hate to really complain. But I will. Pizza is a personal thing. I like mushroom and pepperoni pies. In this case I added mushroom for 2 dollars more.
But when it arrived piping hot, thin crust and covered with pepperoni. Lo and behold, Where are my MUSHROONS ??
It not the money. I want to taste and eat mushrooms with my pepperoni. There were some 'roons. Just not very much. Though lacking this the pie was very good hot.
I also judge a pie on how it taste cold. In this situation it really failed. The pie was very spongy and too chewy when cold.
The staff was exceptional nice and professional.
I will return and say to you all come on down.
Grimaldi's Pizzeria, Bell Tower Mall, Ft. Myers, Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.
Before the food I must comment on the decor. It is mahvalous . Red & white checker table clothes. Photographs of the Rat Pack. Songs from Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis,Jr & Dean Martin in the background.
An ole skool thing. Romantic or business atmosphere.
The food. Coal cooked pepperoni & mushroom pizza. It was quick. Sauce was slighty sweet. Crust was very thin. The slices are such you handle like a New Yorker. One handed and folding.
Service was stellar. Definitely I...
Read moreI deliver for Doordash, Ubereats …. So I am giving a fair unbiased review of this establishment. I am not receiving any compensation whatsoever in any form. I am doing this of my own accord.
I recently went in there yesterday. And have never been in there before. The one by belltower.
I found the establishment to be clean, I thought the window area where the storm shutters roll up, was pretty cool. Customers can sit at the window area by the bar (outside), order food, without birds crapping on them. I don't know man, the whole idea of eating outside and being able to order food while outside seems cool to me.
My wait time wasn't long, I was waiting for a pizza for a delivery but, it takes time to prep a pizza and cook it. If you order a pizza, expect a 7.5-15 minute wait time. But, it will come out hot and ready and it's in good hands. The pizza smelled good and my clients for Door-Dash said they eat there frequently and they like it.
The employees are all professional and kind and patient. Not at all rude. They treated me like they would a customer, answered any questions I had, conversed with me, and I received my food not long after arriving there.
I like delivering for Grimaldi's. They treat the delivery drivers for the Delivery services very well. And they should, because we are delivering food to their customers. Looking forward to delivering food for them again. Had a very positive experience with them yesterday....
