Was in the store with boyfriend looking for a new XBox controller. I began looking at Funko Pops on opposite side of store. Noticed some that were already stacked on floor. This particular one had a tshirt that came with it so the actual figurine was inside another box. Seeing the shirt wasnāt my size, I went to place the item back where I found it. It slipped from my hand and fell onto floor. No more than 6-10inches. The corner barely creased on the main packaging. Now, the actual funko pop box was not creased or damaged at all. Just the main packaging holding the shirt and boxed figurine. The cashier told me that it is store policy that if you drop them or damage the box due to them being collectors items, you have to buy them. I laughed. I thought she was kidding. She proceeded to say, Iāll hold the item here for you at counter for when you are ready. I replied, Iām not buying that. It was an accident. She proceeded to tell me it was policy and I had to buy it. I said show me the policy and Iāll buy it. She panicked and called her store manger who we heard tell her, donāt worry about it as I donāt know where to to find it on the site. The cashier proceeded to try and search the site for this āpolicyā. She was flustered and told us as we stood there ready to leave that we were being confrontational and was making her nervous. That to please not make her have to call the police. This was All over a creased corner on a box. Now, in this store, Stuff was all over the floor and stacked way too high for people to look at. I couldnāt have been only person to drop something or knock something over.
In the end, I paid for them item because she was causing a scene by making us look like bad people in the store. We were just standing there due to her threatening law enforcement, and kept repeating how she just works there and to please just stop making her u comfortable. We were the ones uncomfortable.
Word to the manager, donāt staff someone who wants to dictate policy to customers but canāt prove it. Or maybe post this policy on your walls to be visible to customers. Shame your stores have gone down hill over the years. And a lot of that has to do with the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTerrible experience with the manager at this location. I had no idea their policy was so strict when it comes to 30 days. I tried to exchange a pair of headsets we got for our kids and it was exactly 36 days and the manager said since itās past 30 days there is absolutely nothing he could do. I had COVID and was out of town so in all honesty I couldnāt have made it sooner but I figured itās not even a week past their 30 day, surely it would be ok but I was wrong.
When I pressed on to ask for some flexibility because itās 6 days past their policy he treated me like I was crazy and asked me to leave his store. I was mortified because it was in front of other customers. Mind you, I never raised my voice. I was obviously upset but I didnāt make a scene or yell or anything that would be considered disrespectful. Anyways, the manager refused to do anything and was so rude. I called corporate office and they said a store manager couldāve help me but as corporate office goes they couldnāt make them help me. Long story short, drove all the way to the game stop in the cape and the guys over there didnāt skip a beat to help. Exchanged my headset without a single issue. Took me 5min!!!!! Never again I would go to this location. Itās a shame because this came from the manager and all the other guys there have always been so nice. Ibrahim Hassan you should be ashamed of yourself for the terrible way you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is not my normal Gamestop but decided to stop in (about 3 weeks ago) to see what they had (I collect POP's). It was within an hour of closing and I did have my two kids with me but regardless, off the bat I felt like our presence was inconveniencing the one young lady working (her manager walked out as we walked in). She (associate) was pretty rude and very unhelpful. They had a special on pops but associate kept stating every single one I was trying to buy did not qualify (buy 2, get 1 free). Then she started yelling at my kids for touching stuffed animals. Just unacceptable behavior from an associate. If you have an issue, tell the parent. Dont yell at a 3 yo & 7 yo. I ended buying some things at full price because I needed for my collection but very next day, I stopped in at location @ Edison Mall and special worked on everything I was originally going to buy at this location. I wish I remember this associate's name so she could get some extra customer training and her manager knew she shouldn't be left alone if that's how she...
