The food is OK, but the service is an absolute disgrace. I haven’t felt this unwanted as a customer in a long time and do not appreciate the accusatory tone of the staff. Here’s what happened: I ordered some fajitas to go yesterday. We live about 45 minutes from the place and I did not check what was in the bag, so I only found out at home that the actual tortillas were missing. And while eating fajitas without tortillas is not much fun, I did not bother to go back there due to the long drive. No biggie, it happens. I did, however, return today to place another order to go. I approached a gentleman at the bar and told him about the mishap from yesterday, saying “I guess that we have to try those fajitas again”. He immediately became very unfriendly, almost aggressive, and told me “You’re not getting fajitas! All you get is your tortillas!”. I guess he thought that I was trying to get free food for us, which I never said or expected. I explained to him that while I was a bit disappointed, I was more than happy to give his kitchen another try. After placing the order, he looked at me and with the most condescending smile asked me “So you still want tortillas?” and walked away. I was actually close to leaving the place, but since I had already paid, I decided to go through with it. That was a mistake. The food did not rank up to the experience of the first two days and the sour aftertaste of arrogant, condescending and unfriendly service spoiled the tacos. The guy had all the opportunity in the world to make this right, maybe just even by saying that he was sorry for the mistake. This way, there is a zero chance I will return, and I can only recommend to anybody out there to avoid this place. Not necessarily for the food, but for the service - except if you like to be accused of being a freeloader after their...
Read moreThe lady on the phone was really nice, not very helpful, but really nice... on door dash they have not updated the menu so we ordered a pizza along with our burritos. Turns out they dont sell pizza. The nice lady on the phone was really sweet and asked if I wanted my money back... well yea.. unless you're going to give me the pizza I ordered, but one or the other... that was fine she said but I didnt get any change back when my order was delivered. They did bring me the ranch for the pizzas I paid for... just no pizza or refund.
The burrito was so bland that i was actually tempted to put the ranch on the thing... and I hate ranch (it was for a friend). Now I'm a burrito connoisseur, but that doesnt mean I'm picky. I've eaten literally about 15 burritos in the past month driving from Los Angeles across the country to Sarasota. Obviously Los Angeles burritos are gonna be the best, and when I come home to Sarasota I lower my standards because I know it's old and whitewashed here, but I've eaten 4 burritos from 4 restaurants in Sarasota in the past week and this one tasted less authentic than the chain tex mex place that smothered theirs in sweet chili sauce. This burrito made me so sad. There was no salsa, and seemingly no seasoning in the rice, beans or meat. We won't even get into the "vegan burrito" which they covered in sour cream...
I had such high hopes for this meal, and even low expectations... I've eaten burritos from trucks in alley ways where you know there are cockroaches, and this is by far my worst burrito experience of my life... fed...
Read moreI give Guerrero's 1 star and only because another server apologized continuously about the service we didn't get from our server. Our server came to the table all of 5 times in the hour that we were in the restaurant, once to bring chips, then to bring our drinks we ordered after getting the chips. He came to the table with the drinks and we placed our order. He came one more time and we ordered another round of drinks and then he came to our table with our food and we never saw him again the entire time that we were eating. He never came to check on us or ask if everything was ok or if we needed anything. When he finally came to the table, it was because he saw my husband get up and walk out of the door. I asked for the check and he came right away with it. I got up to go pay, because I didn't want to wait another 30 minutes for him to come get my card. Another server asked if she could help me with something and I told her that I wanted to pay my bill but did not want to wait for another 20 minutes. She took my card and ran it, came back with the receipts, apologizing deeply. This was not her fault and she should not have had to apologize for another servers bad service. She handed my daughter a piece of cake for our inconvenience. I signed the restaurants copy of the receipt and for rhe 1st time in my life I did not leave a tip. We won't...
