Horse & Crown Pub — Restaurant in Florida

Horrible and racialist.

We came to the bar at 1am after the power went out around the area and it was the closest place. The bartender was extremely rude and told us she’d already called last call (at 1?) but we could sit and chill. We asked for an ash tray and she refused to give us one stating she’d already cleaned them. We began to play pool and she told us she’d already cleaned in there and that we couldn’t play so we asked for a refund and she got a super angry attitude. She -refused any kind of service then told us she needed to leave and get her kids. There were about ten other people in there all drinking and smoking - all white - except us. Horrible horrible experience. Shame on this place for supporting such blatant hatred. Don’t support this...

I was visiting a Good friend of mine and his buddy, so we decided to stop in for a drink. One beer each and then i paid the the bill and left a tip for the "Nice" Bartender. However proceeding payment, the female bartender told my buddies that they needed to pay for thier drinks( the dtinks that i paid for) So i kindly told her thats what i just did, but she wouldn't talk to me and she started yelling at my buddies. This went on for a few minutes so we had enough and left. Im pretty sure this Bartender was on drugs, as she was the one who completed our transaction.

Stopped into The Horse and Crown recently, and I was genuinely impressed. The atmosphere was welcoming, the staff was friendly, and the service was prompt. The bartender was attentive and made sure everything was to my satisfaction. Can’t beat the classic combo of a cold draft and a quick bite — exactly what I needed.

It’s clear this place values its customers, and it shows. I’ll definitely be back!
