I took my two kids for my sons Birthday back in Nov. They were finally open and we were excited. But I was pretty disappointed in the broth flavors. I had to doctor it up. It was super oily. We had different broths and ordered them mild but it was very spicy. Had to have one taken away. I loved the hibachi and some of the meats but the broth ruined it for us. I have had better...way way better in Cali, Orlando, NE and overseas (to name a few). I like drinking the broth but couldn't, it was that bad. I could only eat part of what I put in it and tossed it on the hibachi to try to save/change the flavor. I didn't want to waste anything, especially since they will charge you 15$. Oh, it was too expensive also. I spent over $170 for the three of us. I would rather have gone to a Steakhouse. Would have saved money. I only spend 120 when the three of us go there and that's adding sushi, tempura shrimp, upgrading the soup, and adding lo mein. *my daughter has to have it. For what they are asking, they should upgrade the crab. It was not good. Service was slow but they were busy and people were smoking up the place from griddle getting too hot and the marinade burning. They could have more and much better sauces. They had no peanut sauce or the eel, or veggie sauces that one generally has. Very basic but not that tastey *understandable peanut sauce is not out but should be able to ask for it. Yes, they need more work for the price they ask. Should also explain to people how the station works. We were seated and drink order taken. A group near us was asking what to do but I didn't want to go to the people near us to explain it but understood what they were talking about. We weren't asked of we had been there before and they did not explain anything. Not everyone has been to a Hot Pot. I recommend them because it is yummy and fun. This one...I hope they get better because the others are far away. I'll be in Cali in the Spring (hopefully depending on this Variant) and tour places to eat. Yes, I am a Foodie. Been stopping at all kinds of restaurants from East Coast to West Coast since 1990's. One reason why I was happy a Hot Pot was coming closer. Somewhat disappointing. Eat Well. Smile Often. Love Unconditionally. *if negative then Love...
Read moreWent to Hot Pot for the first time taking my dad out for Father's Day after hearing some folks at work talk about the place it seemed like a hassle free, and fun experience for the fam. I brought the wife and son (9 years old). Soon the nightmare commenced, we were led into what seemed like an assemble line facility, food is conveyed in small platters with little plastic plates with 2 or 3 pieces of broccoli or mushrooms gliding around the room as you grab at them passing by. The server took our drinks and in very broken English attempted to get our order. We had no idea what to do, or how this worked and they offered little explanation. When you come to hot pot there are three options, just soup bowl, bbq, or both and if 1 person orders bbq each person is billed as bbq as it is a buffet, this amounts to around 40 dollars per person for a small pot of ramen broth and a do it yourself bbq skillet, each person is responsible to cooking and maintaining their foods that you get up and retrieve from the slop line which resembles what I imagine a wet market looks like. This restaurant concept is a food health inspector's combination of every single nightmare manifested into one singular experience. Every patron has access to the food you select on the assembly line, by the time you get it who knows how many kids or patrons have touched and spittled on it? They even charged us full price for our 9 year old son who ate a small cup of ice cream as he deemed the rest of the menu inedible and rightly so...This is the equivalent of a self checkout mixed with a Golden Corral, but with all uncooked foods laying out in the open marinating at room temperature while lines of people hover over them in lines breathing and coughing all over it. If I wanted to cook a meal I would have stayed home and cooked myself, overall poor service, poor experience, but at least I had a great time hanging out with my family, we all had something to laugh and complain about together...Happy Father's Day dad, glad you got...

We went at 430 on a Saturday night and it was already buzzing. By the time we left it was very busy.
If you've never been to this style restaurant, it's not super clear the difference between BBQ and just the hot pot. Had to dig for a clear answer from multiple staff members.
Overall it was clean with a decent amount of choices.
Loved the sauce bar!
The original broth was delicious. The satay, I was told was little spicy, but it was really spicy and I was left wishing I hadn't gotten it. Tho it was delicious it was just a little more spice than I normally get.
By the time we were leaving the smoke from all the grills was getting really thick, so some better ventilation would help.
Didn't go to the bathrooms or explore much more, but seems like they have a few kinks to figure out still, which is totally understandable. Lots of paper signs (which as an artist bugs me and I want to make them nice signs lol). Also the rice was in a rice maker with the scoop inside and it's self serve, was a little weird even pre pandemic.
VERY expensive especially if you don't eat a lot in one sitting (ehm kids) and a little stressful if you go with kids, but my kids loved the experience.
The owner, or ?, Was very friendly and took the time to sit and coo at our baby and make us feel seen and heard. His attention probably made the experience for me.
If I were to go again, I'd save up to pay the extra for the BBQ, go during the week when it's not so busy (personal preference) and maybe leave the...
