I called to place an order for my daughter to pick up. I asked the clerk over the phone if I could pay with my debit card and my daughter pick it up. I was told by the clerk that she could only get my debit card over the phone for delivery. The large 2 topping pizza was $7.99 for pick up. So now I have to have it delivered 3 blocks away and delivery time is 45 minutes (quoted) Then the clerk tells me I have to get food over the cost of $10 to use my debit card. Why??? So my order is now $14.99 for a $7.99 pizza, 1 hour and 5 minutes later and it’s cold!! How do you take my debit card over the phone for delivery, but not allow my daughter to pick it up? It makes no sense at all. When I called to complain (the first time), I was told by a different clerk , “the manager is tied up, call back in ten”. I call back and speak to a manager by the name of Donald. I let him know my daughter lives 3 blocks away, I was quoted 45 minutes, her pizza is cold. And how do you allow debit card transactions over the phone for delivery, but not pick up. He went on to tell me, “someone has to sign for the pizza when they pick it up, and also when delivered”. What??? “My daughter who you delivered to, is the same person that could’ve signed for it and picked it up 30 min ago and it would’ve been hot!” HE MADE NO SENSE! Then he went on to tell me that I could’ve placed the order online. Well why don’t you teach your clerks to say that??!! The clerk I placed my order with, never told me that. I asked Mr Donald if I could get a refund for the pizza being 20 minutes late and cold. Donald said, “sure, I’ll give you a refund if you return the cold pizza”. What??!! “So you’re going to send someone to my daughters house to get the cold pizza, take it back to the store and throw it away?” He said, “yes, that’s the only way I can give you a refund.” My family has been eating at The this exact location for 9 years now. We haven’t order from this location in probably 8 months. Only because my daughter works farther away now. I have never experienced such horrible service from a manager. He definitely does not know what customer service or being kind to people means. I will definitely be contacting the corporate office. And we will NEVER order from this...
Read moreSo long of the short of it is ordered our pizza, didnt get delivery updates. Boyfriend calls and offers to pick up but they insist we wait and itll be delivered soon. More time passes. He calls again, offered again to pick it up. They pulled the order up by his phone number and confirmed it was enroute and would be there soon. So we wait more. Two hours later and third call now he calls again and this time asks for a manager. Explains the situation, asks again if he could just pick it up. This time manager tries to pull the order up by the same phone number and says that number shows no orders. Pulls the order up under a different number (old number) and says the order wasnt delivered because they tried to call that old number and we didn’t answer. My boyfriend tried to explain he was unaware that was the number on file and tried to further explain how the previous times he called they pulled it up under his current number but the manager and someone else kept cutting him off and saying it was essentially our fault the food wasnt delivered because the wrong number was on file. Never once were we rude, never once did we ask for a discount, or free food. We simply wanted to pick up our dinner since they apparently had issues delivering. Three times he called and asked nicely to pick it up. It was like once the manager came on it was like he did all he could to NOT fix the situation and place blame else where. We ended up requesting a refund and ordering else where because instead of just allowing us to pick up our food, the manager tried to argue and say we did something to cause the non delivery when we were unaware of the old number being onfile and calling and confirming our order with the current number multiple times. Read moreLet me start out by saying that my work orders the same pizza each week from this specific Hungry Howies. Today was no different, I called to place an order and was greeted with a rude answer "take out or deliver?" I then ordered my pizza and when I asked for pizza sauce on the pizza she told me they could not do it. I informed her (she said her name was Shell when I asked at the end of the call) that every time we order they are able to do it. I even called and spoke to someone last time and she said "no problem just call and let us know next time" which is what I was trying to do. She said "I work here everyday and I know we do not do it". She then put the phone down and asked her manager who said no and says loudly where I can hear her, "this girl is about to get on my nerves". I told her that I could hear her and I thought it was very rude, because I am in the customer service business as well. As soon as a male got on the phone she tell him that she was not talking to me that it was about something else. I think it is safe to say it was about me and the apology was not even given to me but to someone else. The point is that they were not able to do what they do for us each week and the woman Shell who took the order was SO rude that I felt the need to leave this review, which I have NEVER done for any other company before. I am amazed at how rude managers allow their employees to talk to customers considering the manager was apparently right there next to her.
