Save your time and money. This restaurant is in a good area. The place is clean. They have lots of drinks stocked in the fridge but, drinks aren't what people really come for. It's the food. Jerk chicken? That's what got them any star as far as what they actually had to serve. I tasted island flavors, jerk flavor in that. It's cooked really well. And it's not dry. The sides? GAAAARRRR-BAAAGE!!! Beans and rice, soggy, no season. Just as bland as anything. Cabbage? They need not put that on anyone's plate. Zero seasoning. Zero flavoring. I mean, even the cabbage taste is gone. Next up, OXTAIL!!! Nothing Jamaican or island about this dish. Nothing. Just oxtails anyone can cook at home and not spend $25. It's basic. It lacks what you're looking for in this type food. Sides!! White rice and the dreadful cabbage looking thing. And cabbage is my favorite veggie. They let the cabbage down!! 🤦🏿♂️ Jamaican beef pattie and Koko bread. Bread was nice and soft. The patty! Uuuh, the filling had a sorta good taste but the outside was old and crunchy like Cheez its!! Mac and ..🤔 Naw, I'm not gonna disrespect that dish's name by putting it onto what I was sold. But that's not what you say it is. It's more cheese crusted elbow pasta. Almost every other thing I asked for was not there. Considering the place was empty and clean, there should at least be everything on the small menu. But if you can't cook those items any better, I suggest doing something else for work. With food and beverage, you must at least have everything your menu says or let folks know via sign or anything. We shouldn't have to ask for anything only to find out you don't have it. Let it be known....
Read moreIf I could leave NO STARS I absolutely would. The food was absolutely terrible. I placed a to go order over the phone when I got there I hardly had any food in my plate. I dang there had to argue with the lady to put more food in my plate. Finally, she changed her attitude went in the back and got more food. Also, since when is rice and peas considered as a side with oxtails? anyway, the food was very very nasty. It was cold. The oxtails had a whole bunch of fat hardly any meat. Staff was very attitudey when I walked in, not welcoming at all, the place was dark, and dingy I didn't like the vibes. The food was terrible, Cabbage was dry, the macaroni and cheese that I ordered as a side was very nasty and old and spoiled tasting ( how does cheese completely separate from the noodle??????????). The food also smelled spoiled after moving the oxtails and eating some of the rice. This was the worst Caribbean food I had ever had in my life do not order from here you might get very sick I should not have left a tip, but I am a good person and they probably need it more than I do. I Will never order from...

I should have left then. "Oh. I have some rice and peas and oxtail left" So, I ordered it. And a side of mac and cheese for $5. I want to mention two things here: I'm Jamaican and I run restaurants for a living. I hate being this person but, I do feel like people should know what to expect for $30:
Rice and Peas: overcooked mush. No hint of coconut milk, no scallion flavor , no thyme, so seasoning but salt a pepper.
Oxtail: easy to tell it sits in a hot well all day long in a poor attempt at brown gravy. It was tender, I will say that, but that's easy when it sits in a well @145° for 10 hours.
Mac and cheese? Tasted like American cheese mixed with milk, and tossed in an oven.
The best part of the entire meal was the two straps of plantain that maybe weighed out to two ounces together.
RUN don't walk away...
