Do not eat here unless you are in the mood for rudeness from young staff members who are very poorly managed. Look at all the negative reviews first, and you will see consistent, negative feedback. It appears that whomever owns and runs this chain doesn’t care as the negative reviews keep coming in and are increasing over time. We just ate at Joey's because my aunt wanted to treat us and recommended it. Chris, our server was awesome. However, we had a very bad experience with the manager, Nick, and other employees on the work floor. A young woman started cleaning tables next to us while we were eating. She sprayed the tables next to us with a chemical cleaning product, and the smell and cleaning product coated our food and faces. We could taste it and smell it as we tried to continue eating. I asked her kindly to please stop spraying the chemicals right next to us while we ate, but she insisted on continuing and insisted it was a requirement for her to do so. She then started making nasty faces at us and walked back to the host stand at the entrance and gossiped to two other employees about how bad we were as customers. Another server she was gossiping with at the front, Sean, then took the spray bottle and rag and came back to the table next to us and started spraying again while we were trying to finish our meal. He did it on purpose and was bullying us intentionally for asking the other server to stop spraying while we were eating next to her. We asked him to stop as well, but he started arguing with us and insisted as well that he could not stop and was required to do so. Yes, a second time after the first server had done that table once already. Our server, Chris, came back to our table and asked if we wanted to take food leftover home. We explained that we did not because it was coated with chemical cleaning fluid and told him what happened. We had 3 large pieces of the double crust pizza left on the tray. Chris was empathic and said he understood and asked if we wanted to speak to the manager. We said yes. It took the manager, Nick, at least 10 minutes to come out to our table. When he came out, he was rude and insulting. He told us he didn't have time for us and was busy in the back. I told him he wasn't being very nice to us, but he continued with negativity and insults. I asked him what he planned to do about the negative experience we just had, and he sarcastically said, " Do you want me to refund you 3 pieces of pizza?" Previous to us asking for the manager, we never saw him on the work floor. He did not compensate us for any part of the meal nor apologized nor thought anything was wrong with chemicals being sprayed in an area that blew to our faces and food. He just didn't care at all. I do not understand how a restaurant chain can make someone like this a manager. He does not care about customers. Chris could run the place way better than Nick and could teach the entire bully crowd what a positive customer experience means with increased tips and revenue streams. We will NEVER come back and will tell everyone we know, including 300 residents in my aunt's senior community, to never frequent this place. If a regional manager wants to contact me to apologize, I am happy to update my negative review!! I will never pay again to eat a meal with chemicals being sprayed in my face and coating my food and then get bullied for saying I don't like it. You need customers more than we need to pay for a bad experience like this.

We have lived in the area for 9+ years and have always meant to try Joey’s. Though out the years, we heard great things about their food. The atmosphere is great. It was quiet and one wall displayed a bunch of different wines. It was a little on the darker side which made it cozy. We went on a week night pretty early, so it wasn’t very busy. We pick our table and the waitstaff was right there with the menus and ready for our drink orders. Our table all had Caesar salads and complimentary garlic rolls. The salad portion was larger than normal side salads. The Caesar dressing was delicious and light. I actually asked for the brand name. Unfortunately, in my salad there was a quarter size piece of Styrofoam. The rolls were brushed with a little butter and a ton of garlic powder poured over them. Our orders were spaghetti w meatballs, Neapolitan pizza, and Chicken Saltimbocca over linguine. The spaghetti sauce was bland, the saltimbocca was missing the spinach, but the pizza was very good. I did ask the waitress about the spinach, after I realized half way through eating. She offered to bring me spinach, but it was pointless by this time. I was already full. I would try this place again for the pizza only.

Joey’s New York Pizza & Italian Restaurant is hands down one of the best spots in the area for authentic pizza and wings! Their pepperoni pizza is absolutely perfect — the crust is thin, crisp on the outside yet chewy in the middle, the sauce is rich and flavorful, and the pepperoni has that classic New York-style taste with just the right amount of crisp. It tastes fresh and homemade, and you can tell they take real pride in the quality of their pies. The wings are just as amazing — juicy, cooked perfectly, and tossed in sauces that pack great flavor without being overwhelming. They strike that ideal balance of crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, making them the perfect complement to a pizza night. The portions are generous, and everything comes out hot and fresh. The restaurant itself has that cozy, family-owned vibe that makes you feel right at home. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always welcoming, whether you’re dining in or taking out. It’s the kind of place that quickly becomes a go-to favorite. If you’re craving great pizza and wings in a warm, local atmosphere, Joey’s is the place to be!

I would like to start out this review by saying that I typically only have positive things to say when I leave a review because I don't want to be the one leaving a negative review on a restaurant or service that I received that can impact that business' earnings especially when they are locally owned. I am leaving this review now because of the extremely poor treatment that I received when I'm called up to let them know about an error in my order that I had gotten. I honestly had never felt so berated and belittled by somebody when I was just calling to let them know that there had been a mistake. I've been eating and ordering at Joey's for years and never had a problem with courteousness and delivery. In the past, if there was a problem they corrected it without a hassle, very politely and would issue a credit. Today they did not include one of the items I ordered and paid for and when I called to let them know, they accused me of lying, were extremely rude and discourteous, and then yelled at me for their mistake. The owner of all four Joey's chose to yell at me and said that I would have to wait an hour and a half to receive the corrected item, he would not give me a credit, continued to yell at me and hung up on me after berating me. In the past I've gone out of my way to recommend Joey's to friends and colleagues. I've honestly had had better Italian food but would go back for the convince. I will not be going back to this restaurant again, nor recommend it. The reason why I will not be going back is because of the rude and discourteous behavior of the owner. This is not the first time that I have seen or heard about rude treatment, but it is the first time that I have experienced it directly. I don't always believe in the philosophy that the customer is always right however I don't believe that any paying customer should be treated so accusatory and with such disrespect. In my past review that I left 4 years ago, because that's how long I've been going to this restaurant, I gave them five stars and raved about how great it was. Now if I could give them a zero I would and it is purely because of the way that I was treated. I would like to add on a positive note at the end that the driver was extremely apologetic about the whole thing even though it was not his...

I'll start by saying my family and I used to love coming here. We had such horrible service by Michelle almost a year ago, I swore I'd never come back, even though the food was good. Today we decided to give dining here another shot. I'm so sorry we did. We, once again, had Michelle as our server. We waited about 8 minutes before Michelle came to ask us our drink order. We asked what type of soup and she stated "it's not that good, I wouldn't recommend it". She asked how we were and we reciprocated the question. She went into a whole story how busy and tired she was. We waited another almost 10 minutes for our drinks to come. After 45 minutes we received two incredibly sloppy chicken parms and 2 kids' orders of spaghetti. There was so much water under the spaghetti. At the time of our food delivery Michelle stated she would get a refill for my husband's drink and additional rolls. 15 minutes later I personally took the empty basket and the empty glass to the register in hopes someone would assist. Another waitress said "Michelle I need you". Michelle turned around, saw me standing there, and turned back to the computer. A young woman then came over, apologized and grabbed the glass and basket. She came over immediately with the refill. Michelle followed and began to blame the other staff stating "I put in another ticket for more rolls. I can't believe they didn't bring them out yet. I don't know what they're doing". THEY were not our waitress, she was. I then received the bill. There's a service charge listed. I inquired what the service fee was for since there is no notice regarding one. Michelle began spewing about a bill in Florida for waitresses, credit card fees being charged to them, and their responsibility to pay for them. So now the customer splits the cost". I was taken back because there is no signage stating so, nor is anything declared on the website. I have no problem paying the fee to use my credit card, however given my horrible experience tonight, partially serving my own family, and being unaware until receiving the bill, it was the icing on the cake. Take caution. The food quality has diminished, and if you're just oh so lucky you'll get Michelle whipping her unkempt hair throughout the place sporting her white tank top and her Joey's...
