La Calle Latin Fast Food — Restaurant in Florida

Went with high expectations for their salchipapas after looking at reviews but I ended up very disappointed. I’m sorry but those reviews I read must have been paid advertisement or something because out of all the colombian restaurants I have ordered salchipapa in the Tampa area, this was easily the worst I had, for the price of $16.99 for a personal salchipapa it’s not just heavily, but super heavily inflated to only include French fries with slices of hot dogs and melted cheese. Then to top it all off the sauces were not good, especially the pineapple sauce that sits on top of the salchipapa, it does not go well with the salchipapa at all. I paid $80+ for 2 salchipapa, 2 orders of chicken empanadas and 1 order of carne empanadas, that’s an insane amount for a food truck to be charging those prices. I would recommend trying out Rappi Colombia Food 100% more which to me has one of the best tasting empanadas and also the best salchipapa I have had around the Riverview area, and for a much lower price and better portion that include fries, melted cheese, shredded chicken, bits of bacon and slices of sausages with their specialty mayo ketchup...

Sorry for the half eaten food pic guys, my daughter dug in and I had to pull her off to get a snap! I was thrilled to see a food truck pop up on Big Bend, and when MORE popped up I was thru the roof. This Colombian food truck is literally my new go to. Ever get that super flavorful beef but it’s just too heavy? I was shocked at how much flavor this had, how juicy it was, and how it felt so light in my stomach. These Arepas were huuuuge too! This is not like anything I’ve had around the greater Tampa area, and you’d be missing out NOT...

Is an amazing colombian food truck. They don't have your regular hot dog ( with mustard and Ketchup) The special sauces they have are delicious highly recommend the green and pineapple sauce. The burgers, hot dogs , arepas and more a delicious and juicy. They also have some delicious lemonade and juices. Give them a try and you won't regret.
